So since the game got up dated I decided to spawn a new world to get all the new features in a world. So I was walking around in a mountain biome and in the middle of it there is a well. Nothing else around it besides some gravel on the ground around it. In the same world there is another one in the middle of a lake. Not sure if this is part of the update of what. Also there is a village where the gound is one lower than it's supposed to be so you have to place a block to get into anything. Is this part of the updated where wells spawn randomly or what? I made a account just to ask this because it's pretty weird. In case you are wondering the seed is: UPDATED 2

I've seen random wells as well(pun not intended lol), not anywhere close to a village. One has a chicken that's been stuck in it for a few game days lol.
I just tought it was weird and random and if anyone else had seen any. I suggest you try the seed even not for the wells. You spawn next to awesome mountains.
Your seeing random wells because the village generation in 1.8.2 is bad right now so it causes random pieces of a village to spawn w/o the village itself. I have found random village house's on my world without a village in sight. Your going to have to wait till' next update for this to be fixed unless they throw it in a bug fix which I highly doubt.
Would be nice when we get an actual desert village, since right now they actually look like any other village....>< Still though I find the village generation amusing sometimes. Especially when near water or the building are raised up with out a stairs at each entrance... Well time to stylize my villages to make them look better...lol
