I remember hearing somewhere that after the 1.8.2 update, that 4J was planning on taking the 360 edition its own direction, as in not just catching up with what the PC is doing.
I was wondering if anyone could confirm this or if there is an official or semi-official discussion of unique features they are considering.
I know that 1.8.2 just came out, but I'm always looking forward to new content.
4J is catching us up to PC's 1.2.3 version, then they're going to discuss MCXBLA's future with Mojang. (I'm sure Microsoft will stick their greedy noses in this and suggest some things of their own as well.) Nobody knows exactly what that means. Although I'll admit, it does suggest they may be thinking about taking the 360 version in a completely different direction.
I remember Paddy Burns (I think that's his name) said that they were going into their own direction after 1.2.3. I wish I still had the link to the article. But yeah their going into their own direction, I want to see what their going to do with Minecraft after the 1.2.3 update
i really doubt it'll go it's "own direction". there will be some xbox exclusive stuff (probably), but in the end it's not going to be DRASTICALLY different than the PC version.

Yeah, it'll probably only have differences where performance is concerned (no unlimited maps, etc) and it may add or alter things from the PC version, like they did to crafting (which was awesome!) I personally can't play the PC version, because I started on the xbox and got spoiled by the crafting system (and my PC isn't that great)

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!

We already have one addition that the PC doesn't have: superflat nether
Dude they better put enchanting in or im going to be very mad . Though i have no idea if they are turning away from the pc version or not.
4J is going to update to 1.2.3 and either continue with the PC updates and then go their own way or they are just going to start making exclusives for the XBOX.
Enchanting and Breeding came with 1.9 pre (I think), so we'll most likely definitely have them. I just hope 4J adds a capture the flags gametype and maybe some other PvP gametypes like hungergames.

Haha awesome! I think the updates after 1.2.3 are complete bull ( however trading and adventure mode are alright) As long as we get the 1.2.3 update I don't care what they do next, of course it has to be something that has purpose ( unlike whitches?! come on)
Also some new gametypes could be nice, I agree.

Yeah, more so updates that concern performance. Or new texturepack's for god's sake! This one is getting old.
I know thatan official CTF is coming to all Minecraft platforms (even pocket editoin) but it will be on xbox first. I wonder what else will be added and I hope that we have trading with NPC villagers at least in a update after 1.2.3. Plus some other things from 1.3 like adventure.
