Mine is a little buggy, dont know if its just the game/lag or the actual build. Its only 9 high with a up/down call button so it shouldnt be so bad. Heres a pic of it, anyone else having trouble with theirs?
everyone is, something about redstone is just off and it makes more complicated builds tend to screw up all the time. chances are you're not doing anything wrong. i have a floor-based hidden door and even that screws up about about 25% of the time.
I built a 25 block piston elevator and it works well sometimes.
I built a light tower using pistons to hide and expose burning netherrack with the timing circuit ~30 blocks below and it was a lag machine. I moved the timer to just below the pistons and it had no lag and worked fine.
There appears to be an issue with pistons and redstone spanning more than a certain number of blocks.
I quit messing with piston elevators and now use water elevators. No redstone, no lag, and fewer resources so you can build huge ones - I have a tower from sea level to the highest building level with a water elevator. Takes a minute to go up and down but has no lag or piston issues.
Yeah I tried fixing it by delaying it a little longer but still nothing. I glitch and get stuck in it morw than anything. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, or ever.

yeah... i kind of wouldnt be surprised if it didnt ever get fixed unless its done by the time the next title update comes since its been known for a pretty long time that somethings not right with it
