i have not heard it.. thanks for the link, i will listen to it now... Chelsea grin. hmm. Well its a hard 1. i dont like evolve as mush as the two full lengths. But Lilith is my favorite song from them (only lilith and the second coming i listen to from evolve).. But I really like the sound from my damnation. Especially All hail the fallen king. But yeah evolove is amazing insrumentally. And Suicide silence, i like, but only there old albums. and F**k everything and Smashed are the only songs i still enjoy on the latest.
Desolation of Eden wasn't bad, but once My Damnation released, (on my birthday ) I couldn't even listen to their old stuff anymore. The only song I really like from DoE is Cheyne-Stokes, just because it's so damn heavy. Favorite song from My Damnation has to be the title track, though All Hail the Fallen King is a close second. You just can't go wrong with Phil Bozeman. Evolve had some good tracks, but once I heard Don't Ask, Don't Tell I was like, "F*ck this, Chelsea Grin is dead to me now."
I've had a love/hate relationship with Suicide Silence. I used to be one of those purist metalheads that only listened to Behemoth, Arch Enemy, Belthegor, Emperor, stuff like that. I absolutely hated screams and unorthodox growls. Then one of my friends forced me to borrow an Annotations of an Autopsy CD, The Reign of Darkness. Which is a death metal release, but it got me into some of the elements of deathcore. AoAA sucks since they released their latest EP, Dark Days. Now they're some sh*tty Emmure knockoff band.
Anyway, I was telling that same friend about how I hated Suicide Silence. Then he let me borrow No Time to Bleed, and I loved it. My favorite though is definitely The Cleansing. Bludgeoned to Death is just so f*cking awesome. I can't stand The Black Crown. I've only heard a couple tracks from it, and once I heard the song featuring Jonathon Davis I decided to not even give the rest of the album a chance.

Yeah thats the same song from Evolve i really dont like haha.. Crewcabanger is awesome aswell.
Also, Alex's other band is pretty good. Its more of a harcore band, but im more into this stuff.
But the black crown is alright, but it doesnt come close to there old stuff. The price of beauty is my favorite.
hmm.. haha, ive seen some pretty good misheard lyric videos before,.. i dont see where they get the time to come up with lyrics... i think it was a bmth song i heard, the misheard lyrics were like right on with the tune. haha

The best one I've ever heard is for a Waking the Cadaver (horrible band) song, the video is called "Raped, Pillaged, and LOL". The lyrics match the vocals perfectly throughout the whole song. I've tried to come up with misheard lyrics, but it just doesn't work. I never make it past a sentence.
That vocalist has the range of anyone who ever wanted to sing that kind of music. NJ
Not sure which vocalist you're talking about. The second video was only for comedic purposes, I didn't care much for that EP. The full-length stream is where the masterpiece is. Although vocals are the least significant part in any genre of metal, not everyone can do it. (if that's what you're getting at) It took me forever to learn how to do highs, and they still sound like sh*t. My lows are pretty awesome though, and none of my friends can do it, so you can't say it's a completely talentless art. I mean, if it was, everyone would be able to do it, right?
NJ, I love the drummer, I love the guitar. Singer not so much in either or. I listened to the first video when I made the comment. I guess I am very old school. I am of the opinion that if the band is that awesome the singer should be as well.

What i really hate is when people say that anyone can do these vocals. i just recently started to learn how, and its alot diffrent than people who dont listen to it think.

Same here. I pretty much listen to music, not focusing on how it's sung, the only vocals I really can't stand is pornogrind. Most of the tech metal bands I like just happen to have harsh vocals, so that's what I listen to. That or they're experimental tech bands that don't have a vocalist at all. Honestly I prefer the lack of lyrics, but it doesn't make a huge difference.
