now they're not actually ruining minecraft, they're doing a great job and I'm thoroughly enjoying the new update. but 4J have made a couple changes which annoy me slightly
the most recent one I found out was a limit on primed TNT entites, only 20 at a time
so if I detonate these 20, they'll trigger fine
but if I place 21 TNT, one will be deleted l
and subsequently, all tnt over 20 will be deleted ie 48 TNT here
it's a small thing but it means any massive tnt project, like a space cannon cant be done on the xbox version
spent a couple hours making this, useless
this TNT entity limit is probably to reduce potential lag,
including an option to reduce lag in the options menu would be great
but don't force arbitrary limitations on a sandbox game, just makes me mad
Could it be that you have them all in a 'uniform' pattern? I was clearing out a cave and used more than 20 tnt, but had them spread out all, all in the same area, just in random places. They all blew fine. It DID slow me xbox down a bit though.
it's not a bug though, its a designed feature, they also capped the drop items entity limit
before pistons i made a massive wheat farm, I should get 300+ wheat, but i only get 2 stacks, and if you watch the water flow over the wheat you can see the items despawn.
and it's only simultaneous ignitions, you can light 20, then another 20, but I'm sure there's probably a total limit

Just a month ago a had a sand generator and I hade a full inventory of sand on the ground, so idk what's going on.
All of those are not good and 4J needs to explain if thats true and why. Then time to express our concerns so they will fix that, since that makes no sense and serves no purpose.
Just the other day I loaded the village in the tutorial with tnt and blew it all up at once.
I placed WELL over 20 blocks of tnt. I filled almost every house and all the streets. There was nothing left of the village after I was done.
I ignited it one time with one redstone torch and each and every one blew up.
So I don't understand how this is happening to you.

not really! i watched gaminglemon and his world have plenty of animals. plus my world have plenty too.
Same here. I see all these people talking about searching the whole map and only finding wolves. I've never actively looked for animals once, on my world I always see 3 or 4 of them frolicking around the area I'm in.

He means you can only ignite 20 at the exact same time. If you have a tick of difference, you could ignite 20 more blocks of TNT.

Proof? Did you watch all the tnt blow up? If u did not read the thread ur just an idiot if u look on the picture the tnt will still blow up but it will be lowered to 20 thus still working but te others are just deleted

OP is talking about simultaneous ignition, he's talking about sequence ignition or however you want to put it. if you make a huge line of tnt and only ignite the 1st one then they'll all blow up eventually because one explodes and causes the next to explode (NOT simultaneous ignition), but if you were to try to ignite all of them at once and there were more than 20, then it would just delete all of them over 20.
Sadly, you're right. i tried to make a small, simple launcher yesterday but it wouldn't launch me.... didn't even flinch

Do I blame DICE for the fact that my Battlefield 3 maps are significantly smaller, the lighting isn't as good, and the overall graphics of the game are lesser on the Xbox 360? No.
Do I blame Bethesda for the non HD textures in Skyrim on the Xbox 360? No.
Do I blame Gearbox for the lack of amazing physics particle effects in Borderlands 2 on the Xbox 360? No.
I blame the limited power and memory of the Xbox 360. Everyone likes to think that the consoles of this generation are the pinnacle of power when it comes to gaming, and they're not. A PC can dance circles around an Xbox 360 and PS3 before they even know what's happening. Don't blame 4J for having to make cuts somewhere. If they didn't make all of the little cuts they do every update, our Xbox 360's wouldn't be able to run the game smoothly, if at all.
All I'm saying is learn where to point the finger when accusing because it's not the developers fault.
Well seeing as TNT as it is can crash your computer that may have better technology, I am guessing if you have over, lets say 30 - 40 TNT blocks the result would kill your Xbox 360.
yeah i got that, what i was doing was explaining the concept that neither you nor the guy you're asking for proof from seem to understand. The guy above you put potentially hundreds of tnt in his village and blew it up, and the entire village was gone so he doesn't understand what the problem pointed out in the thread is.
You asked for proof of this, implying that it's not possible because only 20 tnt can be set off at a time, which is partially true depending out how you interpret it. so you dont understand how he did that or the details of this post.
You CAN put hundreds out tnt out, and they WILL all explode so long as you don't attempt to ignite every single one of them simultaneously, at the exact same time because the game can only render the explosions of up to 20 tnt in 1 moment. when you have 100 tnt set up, if you only ignite the first one then that will blow up, and set off the next one, which will set off the next one, etc. these are all at different times so they will all explode. If you rigged them all to explode at the same time, then the game would only render 20 and delete the rest, but the guy you're talking to didnt do that, he only set off the first one.
They did that because the Xbox can't handle as much as a PC can. I'm sure this is not a bug. If we could set off all the TNT we wanted it would probably kill our Xbox from all the stuff going off at once. Maybe if this was a next gen console it would be different but the Xbox just simply can't handle that much. That's also why the worlds are not unlimited and we are in a confind area.

unless you somehow managed to rig all 2000 of those to go off at the exact same time, thats possible.
