Im making a HUGE wall so that i can build my first, and ultimate city with my brother! So far ive constructed the wall and and started on the city. However i recently found that dispenser can fire arrows! I found a vid on youtube that shows how to make the dispenser rapid fire arrows! It looks awesome! Heres the vid:

Search this forum subsection for working redstone clocks, (learn all about them) then make a wire come out of one of those to a dispenser. Since 360 version doesn't like really fast tick clocks, try placing one dispenser on top of another, and put a repeater to one of them set 0 or 1 notches, that way the dispensers will fire out of sync and give the same sort of result as the "machine gun" you are looking for.
For the defence you want, you could put a pressure plate down that is wired to a normal piston that pushes two blocks; 1 glass and 1 stone. You then leave a block with nothing in it, and place a normal piston. This will let you shift the blocks back and forth one space with two different inputs (pressure plates or buttons only, don't use a lever as it can mess the thing up if you don't turn it off) This setup means you can trigger your arrows with a pressure plate, and they will fire until you hit a button or the arrows run out. Glass does not let redstone current go through it, but stone does, so you have essentially just made a slightly more complicated lever. (This is helpful I find because you get knocked back by arrows, possibly pushing you off the pressure plate)
Set this up between your redstone clock and your dispenser. Put a repeater coming from the clock and facing into the stone block (the one getting pushed by the piston), with a wire going to the dispensers directly on the other side of the stone block.This is now your dispenser in firing mode. When you press the button you have wired up to the other piston, it will push the glass block in front of the repeater and it will turn your dispensers off.
To hide your dispensers, you can mine 2 blocks into a corner, put your dispensers in and then two blocks of any type in front of them to hide them. Then put sticky pistons in to pull those blocks out of the way, and expose your dispensers. You could also experiment with putting an extended sticky piston with a stone block on the end of it in front of your dispensers, and then two pistons above the first one and the extended piston arm. Then wire it so it retracts in two phases, one pulls the stone block back a square, the other pulls the piston and stone block out of the way, giving the dispensers a clear shot. This can be really annoying to set up though.

I didnt think of that! that would so much better! I waas going to get a bunch of my friends on minecraft and have them try to break into the walls while being fire at. Cant wait to try that

I didnt think of that! that would so much better! I waas going to get a bunch of my friends on minecraft and have them try to break into the walls while being fire at. Cant wait to try that
