I made a flat world and I noticed I could go 400+ feet in the air in creative mode but, I can only build to 128 feet.
Do you know if the height will be raised?
I am loving the 1.8.2 update!

I hope that changes. I want a castle that's 300 foot in the air. I have one that is 105 feet in the air and it has a huge shadow when I am done I will post a pic of it.

One way to artificially extend it is to have trees grow. They will grow above the build limit.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!

Dont you mean meters? lolol j/k, im just trolling.
The height will change when the 1.2.5 update comes out. It introduces a new map format called anvil which will allow increase the build height up to 256 blocks. So on super flat land you will have a total of 251 blocks height to play with from the top layer of grass. Something I'm seriously looking forward to.
You mean 1.2.3 not 1.2.5 because they said that they will jump to 1.2.3, but they will apply the new ANVIL format...

The blocks actually represent about 1 meter according to Notch. So if by feet, you mean blocks, then 128 blocks would be 128 meters, or 419.948 feet.
So you already have a building higher than 300 feet!

Yea but, you can't build that high. I wish you could. Someone suggested that the 360 could have bigger worlds if MS would allow us to choose how much hard drive we could use for just Minecraft.
I have heard the reason we don't get bigger worlds like the PC is due to hard drive space. So we can hope MS allows us to make that choice.

RAM space not Hard Drive space. The world size is based off the RAM capabilities of the 360, which only has 512 MB of RAM.
