where can you find melons other than is a chest that you have found in a mineshaft, stronghold or spawner?

i found one in the garden in the back of a npc house

I Think for the most part you can only find them in chests in abandoned mineshafts. I'm not sure if you can find them in dungeon chests. I'v never found them in villages but I'm sure you can find them. If you don't care about leaderboards you can always spawn in some melon seeds in creative mode
