Alright so I just finished making a my first PvP arena but I was thinking has anyone tried to implement a currency on a PvP world? I don't even know if currency is the best word to describe it...Basically I was thinking that whenever players gear up they also take 1 (Insert currency item here). It would then be the other teams job to collect these items by killing those players so they can spend them in a shop for upgrades or food. I have a feeling this would work better when enchanting is released but what are your thoughts?
What about Ender-pearls? They have pearls in the name and they have no use so far. Or you can try useing ingots as currency makeing the players choose between saveing it up to buy better stuff or to use it to craft their own gear. Like say I had 5 iron ingots enough for a helmet but the next one is gold gear each costs only 10 iron meaning 50 ingots of iron for a whole set of gold, a diamond set would cost 25 per piece (includeing sword for them all) meaning 25 x 5 comeing to 125 iron ingots but gold would decrease the cost.
Ender pearls would be a much simpler way though cause its just counting and saveing money, the ingot thing is a tad more advanced, whatever floats yer boat just a suggestion .
