Holiday Skin Packs! I think we should have skin packs for different holidays. They should only have 5-10 skins but will be new every year.
What are some of your ideas?
1. a Ghost made to look like Steve with a sheet thrown over himself. Add in crude, misshapen eye holes for added comedic effect!
2. The Grim Reaper; we'd do a nice robed figure with bone white hands. for a head you'd just take the skeleton head add glowing eyes, red or blue, and wrap the rest in a black cowl!
3. a Witch; you classic green skinned wart covered face with a protruding nose. she'd wear a deep purple dress tied off with a brownish cord. You could give her red pointy shoes for a quick Wizard of OZ reference if you like. I'd also say add in the pointy hat, but that may look a bit odd if you also try to equip a helmet. . . not that anyone complains about the floating hats on super meat boy!
4 a Werewolf would be a simple addition, take the Zombie Steve skin and lop his head off. add on the wolf head and recolor it brown, then replace any exposed green skin with a brown texture and BAM! instant werewolf skin!
5. Jack-o-Lanturn man; Take the jack-o-lanturn item already in the game and use it as the head! Then take the texture off a dirt block and wrap it in a mixture of leaf and vine pattern to look like roots and stems are twisting around to become his body! (this is the one I'd personally use)
6. Sexy Cat Lady; There's one at every costume party. . . You all already know what to expect so lets just move on and ignore her too.
7. The Vampire; He'll (or She'll, if you wanna pad this list to 11) have white skin protruding fangs and a sleek black suit with a blood red tie! (For Mrs. Vampire we'll give her a slinky black dress and a blood red collar necklace)
8. A Devil; A red skinned, horned humanoid with black, cloven feet and tiny bat wings painted onto it's back for added humor.
9. The Scary Clown; we'll take some inspiration from the movie IT and give him a white face and deep red makeup. Give him a white, with colored polka dots, jumpsuit then add a bit of blood spatter to make him extra creepy! adding a deep red frill to his neck and hands would be a great effect too!
10. A Scarecrow: While not so creepy this is another common Costume that tends to pop up inexplicably at parties every year. Paint Steve's face the color of burlap and give him worn blue overalls and a flannel shirt with bits of hay sticking out of his arms and legs.
Christmas
1. Santa, because you have to. . . you just do! You know his deal, Red suit, white trim, floppy red pointed hat and black boots, white beard, something about jelly, blah, blah, blah. . .
2. Elf, not your D&D or Lord of the Rings type, but the short toy making kind! They could be about as tall as super meat boy and have large pointed ears and blonde hair. For attire you'd take Santa's garb and turn the red parts green!
3. The Human present! Take a standard human skin and gift wrap it for the holidays! include a nice bow pattern and ribbon wrapping it up and leave this guy sleeping under a tree! you can give him eye holes for the fun of it if you like, but i think the idea of leaving the guy blinded is even more fun! (not that it'd effect game play at all)
4. Christmas Tree Man. Take the dark leaf pattern and layer it over the skin until only green is showing. you can add in a few hanging ornaments for some flair and make his hands look like several candy canes lined up side by side! He'd have lit up Christmas tree lights for eyes and a red bulb for a nose!
5. A Reindeer; Take the cow skin, remove the spots, shave off it's udders replacing them with a white belly spot, then give the head antlers and a red nose and boom instant Rudolf! It you want to pad the list you could do some other shade and give it a brown nose for a standard reindeer
6 Snowman: Take the snow block texture and wrap it around the body and legs of a human skin. Add in thin brown sticks for arms with red mittens on the ends for hands! Place 3 coal item sprites running up the body and then shrink them and arrange 5 more to make a mouth for the head. For his nose you could make a crude orange triangle shape to look like a carrot, or have that protrude like the Witch's nose, and make two buttons for his eyes. If you'd like some added flair you could give him a green and red striped scarf and call it a job done!
7. Old Man Winter; Take the robed Grim reaper up there and give him a white robe, then add in a Steve head with pale white skin and sky blue eyes. give him white hair and a beard. to add some flair to his robes you could give them small light blue snowflake patterns!
8. Mrs Clause; Time to show some love for the ladies. Take your Santa skin and remove the beard, give her a more feminine face and rosy cheeks, then remove the hat and add in reddish hair! For added fun you could cut the pants off into a nice skirt and give her red shoes!
9. Walking Candy Cane; Similar to the human present you'd take the standard model and wrap it in a twisting red and white pattern. each limb can be another stick of candy and be the start of a new pattern for diversity's sake. For eyes you could give it black licorice swirls!
10. Gingerbread Man; Here's another easy one! Take a light tan graham cracker texture and add it to each side of each block on the human skin model add in white icing along the edges so that it looks a bit like he's a walking gingerbread house. along his stomach you give him three gumdrops, usually they are yellow, orange, red, white, or green, but any bright color will do really. Draw a face on the head with the white Icing texture and give him a red hot candy nose!
Are there any other holidays widely celebrated across the world? If so let me know and I'll try and add a list for that holiday to this post!
What do you mean by holiday? Could we have Martin Luther King Jr or Columbus skins too? Perhaps a Jewish fellow and some other stuff for Hanukah? Cupid and other pink stuff for Valentines Day. Some different soldier skins (WWI/ WWII American/ British, Modern American soldiers, etc etc) for Veterans Day

What are some of your ideas?
Vampire, Zombie, ghost, mummy, headless horseman for Halloween
Indians, pilgrims, turkey suit etc for Thanksgiving
That's all I can think of for now. Obviously Easter bunny for Easter and Uncle Same outfit for 4th of July.
