Last night I finally updated and checked out some of the new features. Imagine my surprise when I was able to fly up to y=189.

For the PC players - have you always been able to fly above the world height? (I'm presuming the build height is still capped at y=126 since 4J made no comment of bringing the ANVIL change and the increase in world height in the change logs)

Even on the Xbox version, there is no height limit. There is a build limit though. You cannot build past 127 or 128.

The Anvil map format just raises the build height from 128 to 256.

Build height is the same. Highest you can fly is Y:511

You won't break anything by flying up to the limit Can't see much of anything from that height though.
