I've been making a big adventure/games world in creative and I had a spawn room set up quite nicely until I put up the roof. Thing is, it's in Superflat and I plan on it being an indoor map with no view of the outside and people are spawning on the roof and not on the inside. Are there any blocks players can't spawn on? Something I can place on the roof to make it unspawnable?
:/ I can't place lava but can players spawn on like furnaces or something, does anyone know of any blocks that don't meet spawn condition? I've considered just stacking up blocks to the game limit but its a HUGE area since its superflat and spawn is like 20x20. After I finish people may still spawn on top of the world.
I want to keep the illusion of an indoor facility. I mean its technically supposed to be 'underground'.
Players can spawn on pretty much anything within the spawn point designated when you first load the map. They will only spawn on the blocks open to the air. You can never have a closed in spawn area it has to be open to the air or they will spawn on any roof you make (the roof being the blocks open to air)
Leaf blocks seem to work for me. Maybe it will work for you? cause on the pc version I set a world to have leaf's on top and an opening under that and the game spawned me underground. Maybe make a REALLY tall wall around the room to give the illusion that its really deep underground?

i know in survival (unless it got patched in TU9) if you exited out on a half-slab, you'd load back in "through" it, either standing on the block below it, or falling through it if there were no other blocks there.
place glass on top, then surround it with structure voids, after that, place lava, it might give off lava sounds, but you will be able to spawn underground
I'm not 100% certain I've checked it in Survival but I am pretty sure it was in survival once, new players spawned on the roof every time.
There are no commands in the xbox version.
