With the new pre-generated structures/buildings you can have in your worlds, you are bound to come across some odd ones sooner or later, like a sole fountain literally in the middle of nowhere. If you do, make screenshots and share them with us.
That said, I'm going to start this thing with a few pics.
Not only is this fountain in the middle of nowhere, but actually at a corner of my map, it's also right in the water. Yeah, speaking of being pointless...
Building a bunker - you're doing it wrong!
Venice in Minecraft. But since it's on the edge of the map, some building got cut off. Literally.
Another side effect of building on the water - you lack the ground on which to place your lamp posts...
I've encountered all this on a single world (seed = 353997637); the sole fountain is in the top left corner, and "Venice" is slightly above the bottom left corner at around X -400 Z 340.

I've found a couple of lonely wells in the middle of nowhere, and a village built (half built) on the edge of the map ... in water
Gravel blocked doors seem to be a favourite too haha
I would post pictures but I dont use facebook. The most ridiculous one Ive seen so far spawned in middle of a ravine so the cobble floors of the houses stretched all the way to the bottom. And the ones that are cut in half on the edge of the world are another far too common occurence.
