Once in a while 4J should add little secret updates like they did on PC. Nothing major just little things. These things also could be Xbox Exclusive. For example around halloween make the sky purple and creepy for a short amount of time, ect. Pretty much just make it a little exiting between updates.
I'd rather they focused on the things that are actually important. Bug fixes are welcome, but special temporary updates for holidays is... well, just silly.
Meh...I think if they made it optional there's no harm in it.

each update past whatever number of updates microsoft has allowed 4J (probably just enough to get to where the PC version is now) costs tens of thousands of dollars. Don't count on it.
