It seems to me that no one is happy about the update. I mean, It may be glitchy right now, but heck, I can't seem to find a single thread congratulating 4J for the update. I'm excited, I am satisfied, and I think that I am still looking forward to playing this game every after noon. But seriously. Can someone give me some faith that this is still a game that people aren't just crazed and teary-eyed over the few bugs that came with it?
God 4j is so slow, I want 1.2.3 NOW. lol jk. I think 1.8.2 was great, sure it has its share of bugs but thery'll be patched soon enough. At least these bugs aren't game breaking.
This update made me play minecraft even more. Looking for abandoned mineshafts, killing endermen, looking for strongholds and all that other stuff really appeals to me. Great update in my eyes
I completely agree with you. The only thing I don't agree is that we're only happy because we got no glitches with our updates. I would be pretty mad if I had a severe glitch like the crashing bug.
I have been waiting on this update for ages just like everyone else and I could not be any happier!! I could care less what the ungrateful, ignorant folks say about it, their own opinion as is mine.
Damn the bugs as well, minor annoyances that are easily overcome. I even lost all of my old worlds but that is another minor issue, just start many a new one on either creative/survival and be damn happy.
This is to be expected though. Many gamers feel ridiculously entitled when it comes to updates like this, even if the update is free. There will be complaints about release delays... even when no release date is ever officially announced. Then upon release there will be complaints about the update itself, whining over the few flaws and completely ignoring the improvements that just couldn't come out fast enough before.
Not everyone does this, but it's still quite common.
P.S. Thank you 4J! The update is awesome and I'm sure you'll have the minor issues dealt with in due time.
sorry bro you just stepped into a bunch of people who get uber excited and po'd when updates take along time to recode to fit the xbox and don't understand that in 95% of any coding there is going to be bugs so they will whine and whine till they get way they want which won't happen so they rage on a forum. I personally like the update food stacking, strongholds, rivers, ect. i think 4j is doing a well enough job and beyond
By the way, I would've up voted this thread for being grateful, but I have reached my daily quota of positive votes for the day. I am so thankful that the only underground structure I built is a slime farm; not even my slime farm is covered in haze fog.
Me and my friends found a huge ravine last night and litterally filled it to the brim with TNT, just for the heck of it (And didnt save, obviously). I havent laughed that hard in ages. And back over in Survival I have so much new stuff (Mineshafts, strongholds, underground ravines, etc. to look for.
I am glad for the updates. I have bought every skin pack so far. Working on buying all the themes and other stuff. To be honest this game is worth way more then the $20 bucks I paid for it, So I am going to try and buy all of there dlc to support them for such an awesome PC game that they made for the xbox. I have paid over $100 for blacks ops with all the dlc, and $100 for a big disappointing MW3 (which I sold 4 weeks after buying it.) I am still in love with minecraft. I played on the pc in alpha, but at 1.9 my computer could no longer handle it. I love that there is skins for free. But to be honest most the time to add the skins to get them to work took about 30 minutes. Texture packs sometimes sucked to get them to run. If 4J adds texture packs I'd buy ones I would even use just so they can keep updating the game.
Yeah I'm with ya. I love all the new features, and have been fortunate enough not to have any major bugs. It does suck for the people that have, but 4J has been good about jumping on those problems.

So far I have been nothing but pleased, and frankly, was hoping my worlds biomes would just... break and there'd be snow everywhere.
Unfortunately, I've been lucky. It's some crap.
But yes, I've liked and hoped for everything that got added, from Void Fog, to the biome swapping. I may not think the biomes are the BEST thing in the world, but I know the issues with that are gonna be hammered out later. Like the beaches being broke and whatnot.
You cant satisfy everyone , us that are grateful should just drown out the other half, im glad it was released bug or not...im even excited I got creepered 3 times and lost my base in survival....Its awesome! thanks microsoft and special thanks to 4j they have been great to the dedicated minecrafters

I for one am glad it finally came to being, as i love the mineshafts, and the new items they have now... Since pc is a bit slow for minecraft and prone to crash (game and computer) it is a nice relief that i am not having any of the major problems that some are with their old worlds but then again i haven't really messed with those as i am waiting for pumpkin seeds to be makable, as well wool regrowable.
So i am going to continue my creative worlds i made and live it out...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
this update made me abandon borderlands 2 and come back to minecraft after nearly a month of not playing. even though the update FELT like it took a looooong time, i think it generally was pretty fast to come. i know a lot of people have had some horrid glitches/bugs, but nothing bad has happened to me SO FAR. the worst thing i've seen is all of my chests on older worlds have been rotated to face a different direction that they originally were.
on top of them bringing us the update! they gave us a handful of free skins. so now i can be rambo in minecraft AND be rambo in my xbox avatar. WHAT IS BETTER THAN BEING RAMBO IN MINECRAFT? nothing. that's what. brb joining random worlds and yelling "THEY DREW FIRST BLOOD".
