Well I made a world a while back after the piston update. It was meant for Creative Mode. So I never played on the world but once but never did I explore the world for it to generate. So yesterday when the 1.8 update came out I started it up and as I was looking and exploring and I found mountains and land near water CUT IN HALF. Yes giant mountains and land near water Cut in Half! Please Mojang fix this! Has anyone else had this issue?
Or if it is not a ravine then you must be at the edge of the map cause sometimes mountains do that along the edge, not usually too noticable but roughly...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
i'm not sure it's something that CAN be fixed. it happens on the current version of PC minecraft. something to do with the biome generation and...something. i don't remember exactly how it was explained to me. it happened on some of my old worlds that weren't fully explored.
It's because the section you explored is 1.7.3. Everything else is now 1.8.2. The land generation between the 2 is different. You can't generate 1.8.2 structures, like mountains, in an area already explored. So if a mountain is being created in the unexplored region and it touches the 1.7.3 region... it is going to be cut off.
Did that make any sense?

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It's not a ravine. It's mountains completely sliced down on the side like a piece of cake.
