I think I see your issue....You seem to think that weather biomes and other biomes are the same...On PC you can turn Weather biomes off with MCEdit but I don't know a way to do so in game. They stated that weather biomes may change snow storms, and rain not a big deal theyarn't going to add (as you stated in one post) a lava biome to it if you have explored then your land will not change just the weather. I have been hopeing they allow you to turn weather biomes off for a while now simply becuse I hate the sound of rain on minecraft. I understand your fustrations and all and there are temp fix's but this isn't an emersion game in the aspect of "its not suppose to snow on a tropical island" yea that sucks but it has happened if I remember correctly this lst year it snowed "granted only a little" down in the florida keys to threten to quit playing the gme over a weather change is a tad petty I might also point out that there are other games like minecraft on the marketplace some with "better graphics" if they change the biome coding again chances are it will stop snowing on your island. and given that it keeps raining in people's deserts and I even seen snow in deserts I do belive they will be changing the weather biomes though I do not know when or anything like that. I would file a complaint with 4J I did over it rainingin my desert >.> If you just wish to rebuild then message me at "GT:Scarz Zodiac" and I will gladly help you I play minecraft over 12 hours a day 4-5 days a week.
I think the problem might be that they didn't code the game right so that the seed and biomes stayed the same when updating. Basically saying if an xbox swamp biome (Pretty Scary Update) happens on the seed you have. Have fun with slimes.

If you'd like. I'll take you to a special place in town. A place where all your wishes come true.
If this is true, what I'm hearing, then I demand a refund of this game, I will never be interested in playing again, and its an awful feeling to have for a game I enjoyed playing. I cannot believe they would ever do that. Im speechless, you lost a faithful player for good 4J, tot
Ok first off you are complaining about a 20$ game you sound like a whiny little . Get a life and move on. I lost all my progress on my server but u know what i didnt care because creative came out and i built something better. i also recently been banned off xbox on my profile and i was 11th prestige and on black ops i was 15th and i just made a new acct and bought minecraft again, and you dont see my complaining like a little .
Not physically destroyed, however aesthetically it can be just as depressing...
How would most people react if their nice bright shiny red ferrari was kidnapped during the night and returned to them painted a horrible smudge of brown and green...
Hey they shouldnt care because the car is fine right??
With a car like that, I'd be delighted if it came back AT ALL.
All i gotta say is "illegal snow" ????? People usually pay extra for that kinda thing... Anyway, enjoy your new winter home. That's all you can do. Or play something else, start over, deal with it, move on, or my favorite.... wait till the next update

Haha, it's funny that you bring this up, because this last week, I realized that my designated port (boat port) would freeze over because of the update.
I can't choose to move my port to a different location, because so much work has already gone into it, and redoing the bridges(now 2/5 are complete), and re positioning my huge walls would take WEEKS of work. That's why I'm trying to come up with some loopholes. Maybe some sort of redstone contraption to remove ice. I don't know, but Minecraft is too good of a game to stop playing because of a small misfortune.
This guy hasnt been on minecraft forums in 6 days yet this thread is still going strong? I dont think he cares about getting on here anymore. I am sorry he got mad about the snow, but crap happens unforunately.
My best advice would be make a floating landmass OR cover the area with glowstone lamps constructed from fenceposts and glowstone, which should reduce snow coverage greately, even putting it in the water should thaw ice. My beautiful green palace floor is now a green then green yellowish but hey crap happens XD I got over the lack of vibrant green day one.
Another option....dig down two layers, drop lava in the bottom then cap with a dirt block. Plenty of heat to melt snow and it wont clutter the landscape. Just be wary of fires and dig deeper where needed. Floating landmass would cast a shadow over everything (unfortunate for the OP.) but would be a GREAT chance to build a floating city
There must be other players out there that are in the same position as I am!
There is, my sister. My brother didn't want her huge home near his and he banned her from near his place, and instead of arguing, she nicely gave up her position and left. she was forced to live in the snowy region and she hates it! She's equally upset. We need that fixed, for my sister.
lol i think its just cool that there is climate change for the longest time i thought the snow was gunna take over my world but the weather changed after awhile, but originally i thought i was goin crazy seeing the snow slowly movin closer to my builds swearin that the snow was moving and now i know the truth
It may be "just a game" but at the end of the day it is a product you have purchased and having it forcibly changed for the worse once you own it is poor business sense.
Just the same as somebody would not accept a car company coming and ripping the leather interior out of their vehicle 4 months after they had purchased it...
More like the interior was always gone and suddenly you realized it was gone, then wanted your money back.
As for Mark, that's why you can build in superflat and not have to worry about biomes.
Doesn't seem that big of a deal, doesn't seem like you even have a fair complaint.
You have a problem with the snow? Get rid of it.
If for some magical reason you can't get rid of it, get over it, its just snow, it has no effect on anything.
Its not like you can't go outside because its cold lol.
With a car like that, I'd be delighted if it came back AT ALL.
Ugh, the troll inside me just came out, sorry.
