where do you find melanin pumpkin seeds I found pumpkins but they didn't give me any seeds and I'm yet to see even 1 Mellon any advice appreciated thank you
I don't play the Xbox edition, but I think you can find seeds for both of these in abandoned mineshafts. Also, pumpkins can be crafted into four seeds.
he is correct that you can only find the seeds in the abandoned mineshafts but for some reason 4J forgot the crafting for the pumpkin seeds
actually no... didn't forget, just didn't bring it forward for some reason, unknown. The craftable pumpkin seeds were introduced in 1.0 i believe or sometime around that...
The rest of what you have said is pretty much true... Would have been nice so I could use my old worlds for some new farming. But that is not possible yet, and i don't feel like making a chicken coop, so my primary world will sit untill I can craft more pumpkins. None of the new features beyond what you can craft are available on my old world so that would be my only option as I wanted to continue building on it, but this puts a damper on that idea for the moment. Same goes for sheep, until they can regrow wool i see no point in even capturing them...><
Oh well at least i can fiddle around with the generation in creative for a while till that happens or choose another old world to do things in. I have quite a few for this case some even half explored...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
The pumpkin AND melon seeds are in chests in abandoned mineshafts. You can find pumpkins that spawn on your world, however, they don't have stalks.....and you can't craft the pumpkins for seeds. If you find some seeds, either melons or pumpkins, they will grow with stalks, you harvest the fruit and leave the stalk and they will grow more pumpkins. So you just have to find a mineshaft....
I just finished searching a large abandoned mineshaft about 10 minutes ago. Did not find one single god damn chest. Gutted.
I did not find any chests until my 2nd or 3rd mineshaft, definitely not consistent but always fun searching. And those chests I did find, only had melon seeds, no pumpkin yet.

I found out how to get unlimited seeds once you find 1 you just plant it and wait for it to grow and destroy the stem that is fully grown and you get 2 seeds most of the time!
