Hey guys,
Just downloaded Minecraft for xbox and started a new world with my brother, both playing splitscreen locally. He was the account that created the map, and after we finished playing I assumed i would be able to log back in with my account later and play the same map. But obviously this wasn't true. Is there any way to modify permissions on a save file so that we can both play the map if we are not playing at the same time? like have the save be have multiple owners.
Cheers for any help!
I just did this today. Played with my friend on his xbox and tomorrow im finishing somthing on mine.
Transfer the save game from the hard drive to cloud. Then just open it up on your xbox if you dont know how. Go to system settings and go to games and apps. Mc should be there and inside it should be your file to copy.
There is no way to have a save file with multiple owners. However, there is a way to modify device and profile ID's on a gamesave. I'm not allowed to tell you how to do that on this forum. What I am allowed to tell you though, is that Google is one hell of a search engine.
Keep in mind, they would be two separate files. Adding something to one would not update the other. You would basically have to bounce the file back and forth between your hard drives. In my opinion, it's not worth the effort.
Aight cheers for the reply. Looks like its not happening. Disappointing, that was a reason I got this, so we could both play a persistent world and update it whether we are both here or not.
