Does anyone think it is sort of funny how everyone was moaning about the update and ow people are moaning because there are a couple of bugs i find it funny because there's some people who now want it changed back and i am wondering why every one cant just stop moaning if you don't think about the bugs to much they arnt as bad as they seem
I think this update is great. I just feel that with this update being in certification testing for 10 days, alot of these big bugs people are noticing should have been found and fixed.
I'm not raging at it, it's just Hunger is taking it's toll on a new world on Hard. The only reason why I have lived the first few nights was because I stumbles upon a horde of pigs and a village.
People will find a reason to rage about anything. Even if there were to iron out the bugs after Cert. instead of put the patch out people would have raged and people are raging now because of the bugs. There is just no winning with people cause they want the ideal and not the real
why are you making threads? stop wasting time and play Minecraft!
Irony - You win at it.
OP: One thing I will admit I don't understand, is the freezing glitch. You would think that's something a tester would notice, and one would assume that's a big enough issue to require a fix before releasing the update. Other than that though, all I have seen are minor bugs here and there. Overall, I have had very few issues with the update.
People who don't code don't get it. There will always be bugs. You could go through your code a billion times and one will most likely could be a small bug but also sometimes very big one will come up too. It's inevitable.
I have no complaints unless having so much to do on Minecraft is a complaint.
Only If I was smart enough to figure out If this Is an insult or a compliment.
Neither, it's just funny that you said to stop wasting time then suggested playing a videogame. I guess it's not necessarily ironic when the game in reference is Minecraft though, which can be used for productive means such as education. But... you get my point. xD
It is pretty buggy. My biggest ones are it's hard to start flying sometimes, village generation is awful, buckets in creative mode are broken and 2 disc's have the same texture.
WHY DONT THEY EVER SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE GAME THERE SO ANNOYING
So are people who use caps lock.
Anyways, it's the same with PC updates. There's always something to complain about.
"OH NO, THE NEW BLOCK ADDED IS MAKING MY GAME ONE FPS SLOWER!"

I guess thats my mistake. Playing a game isn't really something important.
But i just want people to enjoy and not stress so much about the small things xD
Don't waste time posting, waste time playing minecraft! lol this sound better?
I'm not raging! I love it! It did take me 4 MC days to create my 6x6 home while on hard. I got like 5 creepers, 3 zombies, 3 Skeletons and 5 spiders all chasing after me. I love sprint! Though it's kinda difficult to control the sprint at times, but I'm not really complaining. If they had it to where instead of it going into third person when pressing down on the left stick it would instead spring thus making it easier on action and thumb speed. =P But this update is great! All my old worlds are now Creative and I have one survival! I don't care much about the leader boards, nor do I care about the achievements as I already have them all. heh. Leaderboards are of no concern, and I don't really care how many blocks I have mined, sure it's interesting, but not like OMG NOOOO worthy.
I found it funny that when a friend of mine was eating that my character would do the same. Try punching at something with your bare hands and look at it. XD It's hilarious! Any other bug posted in the recently found bugs list, I have not even noticed, only one i have found is my old chests are black and turned a different way that it looks like, but not really. Simple fix though.
I'd have to give this update a 9/10 Seriously! I love it! The -1 because of sprinting, but not really a problem to me. But I'm actually off to bed, been up since 12PM 2 days ago, and stayed up all night til 4 for the update then played ALL day on it up until now. Which I have to go to bed. haha.
My world is ruined, (1.8 generation) it freezes constantly, doors/levers etc don't make noise with LT on old worlds, fence gates make double noise, Trap door animation glitch, You can't get rid of blocks in creative...you HAVE to replace it, Double tapping A to fly almost never works. Buckets of water/lava are not infinite.
Those are only a sample of the glitches/problems I have encountred. I think this is a nice update, but I am angry at Micosoft for giving the thumbs up when it clearly had some problems.
The one bug I found so far is the sprinting. It should last down to 4 bars on the hunger bar like it does on the PC, but mine seems to use maybe 2 hungerbars then I cant sprint (I'd still have 8 bars of food left.) I have not expenced any of these otherbugs ppl are complaining about.
The chest issue Mojang took till 1.0 for it to be fixed. Its not an easy fix on the lighting. All anyone has to do is change the lighting around the chest or siply remove and replace it. I love how this bug was on the pc, is also on the xbox. Like they expect 4J to catch someone elses coding errors on the lighting.
I personally Love this update Im being an epic no life on it, Also when i start a new world, i have an emergency house lol Mushrooom Tree lol. But seriously the update is a boss, I have no problems with it to be honest. I like the spring button in my opinion, I dont really have a problem with it its saved my life so much since I constantly play on hard mode. The only bug that i found was when renaming a world it freezes your xbox, and then it copies the world with a different name. Im not sure if thats supposed to happen or not.

Boy was I surprised when I finally got to try out the update last night. After reading the forums on and off all day yesterday, was expecting the worse.
Everything worked. It didn't take me 20 tries to create a new world that wasn't all water. On my first try I had a decent world to start with. I haven't explored it all yet but so far there is forest, desert, tundra and swamp, and found my first town with a couple of cave system nearby (one with water and lava near the entrance). Seed name is "Walt Dongo" (Dongo is the star of Giuseppe Andrews's cinematic classics "Trailer Town" & "Period Piece" if anyone was wondering, not to mention just a great name).
Didn't notice any glitching so far, then again haven't put a whole bunch of time in. The town needed some blocks added under the doorways to get into some buildings but that was not big deal. Sprint does take a little getting used to. Terrain generation seemed fine, hunger bar is fine. Overall everything was good, though I suspect the haze at bedrock when I get down there will annoy me.
So no rage here.

I sympathize for people who don't like the sprint control, there's probably a reason no other Xbox game has used it...
I haven't seen a lot of other complaints...
