My girlfriend had her heart set on building a mushroom house but discovered that chunks of the big mushrooms weren't a selectable block. Now she's quite upset. I know its doable other ways with bonemeal and the correct placement of mushrooms bit I guess she just wanted easiness
Well it would be cool if "the community" had any input on An easy way to build a bomb ass mushroom house instead of a cocky comment here and there then never even look at this post again

Someone is feisty...
Just put mushrooms side by side and grow them with bonemeal. That is your only choice right now.

A bomb ass mushroom house? What would a "bomb ass" house look like?
I meant, as players of the game, and nothing more, we cannot fix your problem. Calm down, no nerd rages.
wait... i haven't played yet due to school and work, but you can grow giant mushrooms, but not harvest them?
There is no way to get the blocks the mushrooms are made of. The only way to do so is through Creative Mode in a later update. All huge mushrooms drop are regular little mushrooms.

Mushroom biomes however are not added until later. Everyone assumed since there were no mushroom biomes that huge mushrooms didn't exist yet.
well considering i thought you had to use bonemeal on them to make them in to huge mushrooms and bonemeal is un-usable on mushrooms still i therefore assumed we couldnt, despite the fact they are a 1.8 release (wasnt sure if they could only be found 'naturally' in 1.8 or not)
Or of course i could have bugged install of the game or something.

To grow a huge mushroom, the mushroom needs to be placed on dirt or grass and needs ample room to grow.

Yeah I was thinking about that but will mushrooms grow close enough so the caps touch or is that a no go?
Wow that's retarded
For now, they are one of the best food sources.
