Weeks of cert testing and there are more bugs than Skyrim on the PS3? I really don't get it. Also, if anyone is blaming 4J for these glitches, stop! It's Microsoft's fault for shipping this update when it clearly needed some ironing. My opinion. I digress, I think it's a nice update, what is your opinion?
I think the update is awesome, but it's weird how you fly and run. I mean double up on the analog stick is like it was for pc version. I don't undestand why they didn't change it.
If i can find a world i like in the random generation... I'll let you know.... Right now I am not liking it. It was to be expected, since i knew this would happen and would have trouble finding one to fall in love with or least consider workable.... Too many ocean maps i have to exit delete and try again...>< That or too much desert.... or even to much water around the mountains that i am looking for...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
The reason microsfots team doesnt find anything is because there might be like 100 people, if that, actually probably much less than that, testing the game. Of course they're not going to find anything. That's the difference between less than 100 people and a couple million. a couple million people are going to find a lot more bugs a lot faster, making microsoft's testing an incredibly stupid, time consuming idea.
Free running the landscape while flying / sprint and scimming across the world Jumping up and down is a crazy good time!
To bad I'll be bored of that within a week. :c
I appreciate the new blocks though.
Question: Did redstone mechanics get changed?
This update was insanely overhyped. That is personally, my only explaination as to why anyone could dislike anything about it. Aside from any bugs that I have not encountered yet.
I think the update is great. The only negative thing I can say about it is that there are far too many bugs.
With all the extra time we had to wait for this update and the fact that it passed cert testing, I really expected it to have very little bugs. A lot of the bugs were pretty immediate, and some of them are somewhat game breaking. I'm surprised and disappointed with the update as far as the bugs go. I'm not trying to blame anyone in particular for this, but it just doesn't make any sense to me how a bug plagued update can pass the initial bug tests, let alone cert testing. I can only imagine how bad it must have been before it was released.
Other than that, I have nothing but positive things to say about it. I just hope a bug fix is around the corner. I'd be pretty excited about that.
Regardless of the supernova level fallout on the forums, I think it's amazing.
I have run into no glitches except the one where doors make no noise if hit with the left trigger.
I can back that up.
I also found a glitch that caused sheep to be damaged when jumping next to a fence. I set up a pen and put stairs on the outside so the animals could walk in. When I came back from exploring the tutorial world, I found sheep in the pen. The sheep started jumping in the pen and taking damage.
Until I made the fences 2 high and added corners, the sheepwould get damaged.
PS: there is another village in the desert with a flag. Also a VERY small taiga biome is in the NW corner of the map about the size of 1 chunk.
No, but some of the bugs were fixed, or at least reduced. I've only played it for a little bit, but I didn't see a single corrupted block. The update detection for repeaters and torches is still glitchy though. But that didn't get fixed until, I believe, the official release update for PC.

That's one of the of the things many PC players hated when 1.8 hit. It'll get improved in 1.2.3, but it still has many problems even with that update.

In a later update, you will be able to craft seeds from pumpkins, but not right now.
