Did you scope it out in creative before you settled it?
No, I might not kill a lot, but I want my kills to count. I read somewhere that if you hit creative, that game not longer counts towards the leaderboard or achievements.

Yeah but you can sue words for the seed, scope it out with creative, If it's good just delete it and remake it in survival.
When I started my world there were tons of animals, now there are almost none anywhere. I see a couple on some mountains from time to time, but none in open plain areas. Why is this happening. My little dude is gonna starve to death or go on an all vegan diet.

In all likelihood, you have many animals trapped in sinkholes underground and atop single-block columns... basically anywhere they might have spawned where they can't move around for 20 blocks. When the animals can't move, they don't despawn, so new animals can't spawn out in the open where you can see them. This can be a real problem in some plains areas where there are a surprising number of such sinkholes and sunken ponds. If you find where your animals are trapped, you may want to kill them off to allow new ones to spawn AND fix the sinkhole or single-block ledge in such a manner that animals won't spawn in those locations again or so that they can get out of the situation on their own and walk about for at least 20 blocks in any direction.
