I started up Creative Mode to see what it's like and also to possibly build a few things, but I immediately noticed a few severe problems with it.
1. I cannot fly. I know the double-tap controls are horrible on the Xbox 360 with sprinting, but does the same apply for flying? Could this be a glitch?
2. The pointer in the Creative Mode inventory will not move. When I first opened the inventory, I was presented with the tutorial information on how to use the inventory. I didn't skip it just in case there was a feature I was unaware of. This didn't turn out to be the case, and I finished the tutotial message and the box went away. I am unable to move the pointer in any way. I literally tried all of the buttons. In fact, the only button that actually does something while I'm in the Creatve Mode inventory is the start button, and all that does is the same thing one would expect it to do which is pause the game and exit the Creative Mode inventory. In the inventory, it says to press B to exit but when I press it nothing happens. As I mentioned before, only the start button will make something happen. Did I skip over something important when it was explaining the controls that I thought I already knew? Could this also be a glitch?
Is anyone else having these problems?
Some comments or answers would be exteremely appreciated! Creative Mode does not serve any purpose at all if you can't fly or use items from the Creative Mode inventory.
Thanks you two. It's a little reassuring to know that I'm not the only one having this problem, and it's also good to know that this isn't happening to everyone. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, but until then I'm going to keep figuring out how to fix it. If I succeed, I'll post on here. Hopefully other people will see this and post if they know a solution. This way, there are many community members try to figure it all out to give a more accurate and more quick answer.

I just created a world in creative mode and the interface works just fine, the other one was created in survival. I'll try making another world in survival and see if the problem persists, if so we may have a lead!
Well this is interesting, the new survival map, when changed to creative, worked just fine too. On top of that, I went back to my original world where only the start button worked, and now it works too. Maybe reloading the save is a way to fix the issue for now until they figure out whats causing it.
for you to actually fly in creative, have the host option thing checked when you enter a world... I noticed this too when i first made a creative map....><
and checking the host option seems to help... plus it takes a while to get use to even though you can have 3 different setups that are almost redundantly the same for most controls...><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I couldn't move the cursor when I first played creative mode either, so I deleted the world, created a new one and it started working. Might want to give it a shot.

You do not need Host Privileges to fly in Creative. That is only in Survival.
My Creative Mode works perfectly fine. I can fly easily and use items as well. No freezing of my inventory screen or anything.
I know that to fly, if you press A too quickly flying will not activate. I have a Razer Onza Tournament Edition and the buttons are designed like mouse buttons so you can click them crazy fast.
On this controller it is very easy to do it too fast. So keep in mind it is possible to do it too fast on the regular controller.
And as for sprinting, I think the main problem is that some people fail to notice that you can only sprint if your hunger bar is above a certain level.

you sure... i never got flying to work without it turned on... maybe that is in it self a bug... also i could not fly in survival when i tried that as well with the host option on... so i guess i am missing something.... unsure.. anyway at least i know i can fly in creative when ever i want to now...:D

I can fly without Host Priveleges in Creative.
As for Survival, you have to activate the flying once you're in the game. Go into the Play List, hit A on your Gamertag, and check the option to fly.
I read somewhere that it's a glitch and you need to reset your game options to default. I am not sure what that means or how to do it, but if you muck around in the options you should find it. This has solved your problem for a number of people.
My Cursor/Pointer Wouldn't move in the Creative Interface, so I Exited and Saved, and loaded the world and it works fine. I can move it now.And when I fly I press 3 times Works every time(Try It)

And to fly you just double tap A. Pretty straightfoward.
