Yes, 1.8 has a few lighting and map gen. issues, but is there anything worth not playing for? Because I've seen players say there are save crashes, looks scary. But as far as I could tell it's not something you can really see coming, so why worry?
Also, if 4j puts out a patch, does that go through Microsoft Cert testing? DEAR GOD NO.

The game crashing thing sounds serious. I thought this thing went through cert testing. I don't understand how they couldn't have noticed that the chest are all black and some other issues like crashes. They either rushed or really wanted to give it to us.

Unfortunately it doesn't happen 100%, Also with the crash this hasn't been seen in Testing or Cert Testing and has only become aware on the live release.

Yeah, right? If THIS passed cert testing, what was wrong with it before??!?! or, are they just that bad?

Eh' I'm sure 4J will have it all fix'd in no time... I mean it's 3 hours since the patch was release so I really wish people would give them a chance. Some times I really feel bad for 4J...

Having millions of people test right now is probably the best way to find bugs! LOL! ...better than microsoft! But my game has not crashed and if it doesn't I would rather have this update than have to wait longer!

All patches are required to go through Microsoft's hideous certification process. It's mandatory.
& I have yet to have any crashes. *fingers crossed*
I got crashes on the old version when i had cake in a chest, and tried to open it x__x.
Sigh. I was afraid of this. So, minimum of a week, probably longer for a patch? I'm just gonna deal with it, glitches and all.
