That seems highly unnecessary especially for people that just try to enjoy the game. Why can't a despawn feature be optional if the animals are to far away from any one human player?
Lol - you do realize that a despawn feature for animals far from players is exactly what was removed in 1.8.2? (so they could implement breeding)?
It's a trade off. If you want persistent animals that you can corral and manage, you have to accept that you're going to need to do a bit of herding.

So you want every child who plays this to become an expert and farm like a genius? Please I know that it was removed if you read my post, which you obviously just skimmed through it, you would've seen that I said it should be OPTIONAL to have that ability to have them keep spawning around you. Like clicking a box yes or no to have it do that. Don't have a stress attack over an idea that would help casual gamers/children/people who just don't feel like breeding to enjoy the game more.
EDIT: By the way my animals keep spawning on really tall mountains & keep traveling further into the water. So it's a bit of pain to "herd" them when they get stuck in such environments.
I havnt had this problem so I cant confirm it. Do they also fail to play on different worlds? And this may be a stupid question but did you check your music settings? An unrelated bug was responsible for changing peoples settings.
Well this is the first world I legitimately got the music disks but another world I created (which was super flat & on creative) sometimes didn't play music disks either.
Bullet Points:
-Breaking Jukebox and moving to another location doesn't fix it
-Using different music disks don't work
-Saving & quitting doesn't fix it either
-My sound settings are 100 for Music & 90 for sound
-Also seems to start happening after playing for a while (+1 hour or longer)
-Playing online with friends as well
That's everything that's important I can think of to help figure this issue out.

I also have been playing on splitscreen most of the time I just didn't think it would be the cause of it. I had my girl leave my game (she was on splitscreen with me) and then after that the disk played just fine. It most likely is a bug that doesn't allow the Jukebox to play during splitscreen after so long or something to that effect. I hope this additional info helps to identify the issue.

This may be the issue. Sounds like the game engine mutes the music if either player is further than 16 blocks from the jukebox. Personally I wish they just eliminate the block limit.

It could be something to that effect but when you enter a music disc into the Jukebox it's supposed to say the disc's name & the guy who made them (I think his name is C314 or something like that). It won't even bring up that message so to be sure I'll play single player online with some friends and see if it'll still stop allowing me to play the disc after some time or not.

Creepers are jealous of our hands and ability to clap.
Yes that is his name sorry I was playing and trying to type at the same time didn't have time to try get it correct but hopefully they can recreate the issue & fix it.
It's Redstone Lamps and they are being added in the next update
What exactly is the redstone lamp? I looked it up on Wiki and it said it had to be constantly powered. What exactly is that supposed to mean? Wouldn't a redstone torch just be better?

A red storm torch is dim. The lamp is as bright as a regular torch but can be turned on and off
actually the redstone lamps are the same lighting level as glowstone and the like. torches are1 of the least amount of light at 14. Redstone lamps are at 15.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
The issue with lag really needs to be fixed. It happens when you build on the boarder of certain chunks. Last night I placed one block on the ground and my XBox froze for about 15 seconds, the rain particles stopped moving (this lag occurs even without the rain btw) the. The sound for the rain cut out about 5 secs into the freeze, and then all the music cut out about 10 secs in. I can tell you that there was no light sources near by and it was open to the sky so it was not the typical light update lag.
Also if you follow the edge of these chunks placing blocks the same lag occurs, building a tower up off of these points produces the same results.
If you build one block in from the edge of the chunk there is no lag at all.
it seens Minecraft update on my friends xbox but not on mine. Is there a way to force it to download the latest version?
Delete Minecraft and then download it again. Or the more drastic approach - clear the cache on your Xbox. Warning- this will remove ALL system and game updates forcing you to update everything all over again.
I purchased the Minecraft full game for my xbox 360 console from the xbox live marketplace for 1600 microsoft points and then downloaded it to the consoles hard drive. When trying to connect to another persons game an error message pops up telling me that I only have the trial version of the game and that I need to unlock the full version in order to play with others online, once in a great while it will instead try to connect but fail and say the server is no longer available. I know that I only have the full version of the game because I never had the trial version and this one does everything fine except let me online, the whole point of the 360 edition.
not sure if this is a glitch or on purpose but i cant open a chest with a chest ontop i know this is doable on pc i want to because im building ethoslabs storage room design please fix
