It happened with all block types I had. Sand, gravel, dirt, cobble, brick, fence, ect.., and it wasn't limited to any one spot. Above water or land, didn't seem to matter. From what I could tell its the entire world. The screenshot I posted was right near where the world spawned me, but I tried in several places and it was the same. Above 80, everything placed was invisible. Also, I didn't notice until just last night, but on this same world, crates either single or double, flicker when ever a block update occurs in the surrounding area. Something I've not seen on any of my other worlds.
Well, I just loaded the world again, and now it seems that blocks above 80 are invisible most of the time, but sometimes they do work. Another screenshot here:
This time, it let me build up to 85 before it started glitching, after that it was hit and miss (mostly miss)
The torch above is @ X:71, Y:94, Z:46

The problem isnt lack of passive mobs, the problem is lack of passive mobs on the surface. Today my 100 square block of flat land layer 66 has 8 wolves that keep respawning when I kill them, and 2 chickens (I dont kill these in fear I will never see another pasive mob on my island) Yet when i fell down a near by ravine off the island I found 5 chickens, 1 pig, 1 sheep and 2 cows inside a strong hold. at layer 38 and a cow down at layer 10.
Solution, introduce a rule that has x number of passive mobs 65+ layer as a min number of mobs per passive mob type. if it falls below this number, spawn that mob.
Aye, I'm finding a lot of animals underground on my newest world. I was cave diving around 40 height, and came across pigs and cows wondering around in tunnels with no perceivable route back to the surface. I'm still wondering how they go there, or if they spawned there.

I don't know if someone else said anything about a minor glitch or not.
When you have a chest open, and goto options screen and save. After it is done the chest opens and closes again real quick. The chest screen disappears as if you exited.
is this intended though? The reason I am unsure as was something i just noticed. It is minor though, since all you would have to do is make sure you are not in a chest when saving...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Problems I have found, that I've not seen listed as known.
1. Terrain type change - Summer and Desert have become Winter, Fall has become Summer, Forest has become Desert. I have not thoroughly explored my world, but these are in my view.
2. Camera button (Y in pause menu) not working.
3. Wolves on jump landing flicker into pigs or sheep, then back to wolves.
4. Can't feed wheat to animals, nor lure them with wheat in my hand.
I found some bugs...
1)The farmlands are too sensible! Just One step and they become already dirt.
2)When you're flying over some farmlands they become dirt like If you are on the ground.
3)sometimes (especially with clocks and fence gate elevators) pistons and piston arms become Invisible and give damage.

I have noticed the multplayer one, it also seems that once they become stuck open, if u cause a block update somewhere near to the chest, it shuts and instantly reopens (and makes the sound). This might hav been what happened with ur rapid pulsar?
(on a side note, if ur building sand generators the SSAGE works in 1.8.2 and ive got a clock 2 make it auto. but if u need the sand as a block not an entity ive seen a design that works for that aswell)
Thanks Carps. Yeah I've been playing with it and discovered it was related to block updating. As for my sand generator, its working great atm, but I'm going to research your suggestion. Thanks again bud.
P.S. I did just recently experience the game freezing upon loading bug that is related to signage. I put up a sign board with exactly 12 signs, left and tried to reload and could not get a second into gameplay without a freeze. Loaded the world offline, destroyed the signs, and now all is right in the world. Side note: I have probably 50 signs in my world already with no issue.
Opening a wooden door with out anything in your hand will not make any noise. But if something is in your hand wooden doors will make the sound effect.
Strange, lone wells are spawning on the edges of desert and plains biomes! They don't have a village attached, just the well and a single circle of gravel all the way around.

My partner begins to experience invisible leaves on trees that we are growing. The sapling gets planted, bonemeal is put on it and it grows fine...but leaves don't render. Try loading the world offline, and go to a remote area of the map, save and exit, then reload online. I'm having an issue currently with my signs lagging the game while loading.
Are wolves considered passive mobs? Or not? because I have now captured ten at once. I went and slept and came back and they were gone, then I captured two more and had the same thing happen again. I am assuming they are aggressive which should also mean they despawn as seems to be the case as well as they should not count towards the passive mob limit as as been suggested several times. Seen and even re recommended to kill wolves to find more passive Mobs. Does anyone else know if this is the case? If its not supposed to be then the wolves vanishing from their cages is a glitch.
Also while on passive mob subject 4j please make wool grow back!!!!.. now have over 15 sheep through hard work and the sheered ones stay naked!! Kinda pointless to not have them despawn.

yes that only fixes it for offline all my maps are modes for pvp
Me and a Buddy of mine had built a room to collect slimes and we made it 32 blocks by 32 blocks but if we stand anywhere but center we can't see further than about 8 block. Anyone else having this problem?
the hostile mobs are hostile even in creative mode, which on the PC edition, the are neutral, it is not that big of a deal, but the creepers makes it a big deal. Leaderboard scores for kills on easy was wiped.
Red Flower generation is nil on all new worlds I've played. You have to use Bone Meal to get any red flowers at all.
Tonight for the heck of it, I ran a test on the red flowers by starting up a random world and going around with flight enabled picking every flower I could find. After covering the entire map (which had most oak and birch forest biomes and smaller amounts of everything else), I had collected 13 stacks plus 18 yellow flowers... and no red ones.

my leaderboard stats were reset once the 1.8.2 update came out. i was in the top 2000 mining peaceful. i spent a lot of time getting there.
Please fix this.
