Is there anything I should do before the update comes out? Like anything in my world that will be changed by the update.
Well i would say prepare crops, so that way you will not get hungry often. Also maybe make some animal pens for capturable animals...
Not really much esle I can say beyond that except prepare for griefing enders... so be sure not to have anything made out of dirt that you want to keep...
Also if you have not explored the entire map, keep it that way so you will be able to get some of the new terrain features in them when you explore.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
