Fine dammit, Have you thought that may be because that is many textures for an area and since mincraft is the same textures over & over that they would be easier to run.
They could probably make it work if the sacrificed render distance and particle effects. A frequent problem on the PC is running out of memory, even when people have 2-4GB allocated to Minecraft.
Putting anything higher than maybe 32x into the Xbox 360 Edition of Minecraft would cause a large loss of FPS. The way around this on the PC is to lower the render distance, decrease or deactivate particles, and disable a number of other things in the game. Unless of course you have a very good gaming PC.

If people want to sacrifice things to run texture packs, then by all means let them. I'm not going to sacrifice anything in my game just to make it look slightly nicer.
The only two I'd have out of them would be LB photorealism & cartoon. All the rest are fugly. With that said, does anyone know the name of the cartoon texture pack on page eight?
I want these so bad. I hope they put some in the next update and I don't even care if they are DLC even though that might cause problems. I really hope for once that Microsoft doesn't be greedy and let us download them for free.

I personally like the DokuCraft one better than the rest. I liked the Skyrim and photorealism also though. I would just be happy to get some texture packs though...
1. Post a link saying they are going to be exactly like existing PC ones
2. They charged for skins, why would they not charge for texture packs too when they know they can make money off it

I wouldn't mind having one similar to the Okami and Dokucraft... Those are the ones i liked..
Others that are ok are the cartoon, although I have seen other packs done a lot better than that one, like an anime pack i have seen...
The skyrim one looks good but a bit all uncolorful enough for me.
the photo-realism one is decent too....
most the rest just don't appeal to me...:D

because you're arguing that their is no chance of them giving it away when there is.
