So someone said that Xbox Cert testing takes around 5-10 days, If 1.8.2 went in around the 2nd, that means that the update should come out at latest the 17th?
It didn't go into testing on the 2cd. It went into testing on the 4th. It takes up to 10 business days ( 14 days ) so the last day it's in testing is the 18th.
1.8.2 went into Cert Testing on the 4th, not the 2nd. It can take up to 10 days. That means, it could take longer than 10 days, or it could take less than 10 days. Cert Testing has no set limit. They get done when they get done.
If we were to use the 10 day limit as a final date, then it would be 17th like you said. It could take longer, or it could take less time. No one knows until it comes out of Cert Testing.

First off, the update did in fact get sent to Microsoft on the 2nd, not the 4th. If you are going to correct someone get your facts straight. Secondly, saying the phrase "up to" would imply a maximum, so when you said "up to 10 days.." you were implying that the update would be out within 10 days. Just pointing out that you are not a credible source and should not be stating things as if you know what you are talking about. If you try to argue that I am wrong about the date at which the update was sent in, then check 4js twitter.. Here's the link: https://twitter.com/4jstudios.. If you think I am wrong about the use and/or meaning of the phrase "up to" then go check a dictionary.

I heard that they are pushing back releasing the update one day for every time someone posts about when the update is coming out. It will be released for the X-Box 720 on July 27th, 2016.
You may want to check 4J's twitter before arguing dates.
As for my guess of the time it will take for the Cert Testing and the release of it, you must have missed the part at the end where I said...
I didn't say what I was saying was the truth, or that it was fact. It was just another guess like everyone else is making.
I missed that. You have proven me wrong. In that case you were in fact correct, Sorry.
I didn't know this community was this bad.. I ask a simple question and get flamed upon.
I apologize for asking.
It's not about asking a question. It's about asking a question that's been asked (and answered) 1000 times already, and putting forth a theory that those of lesser intelligence will take as an indication of a definite release date.
If everyone checked the message boards to see if there was already an answer to their question, then there wouldn't be any redundant threads, and it would make it much easier for people to find useful information and ask legitimate important questions. You'd like to know when the update is coming out, we get that. It's been asked several times before, no one has the answer, not even the people who wrote the update. Follow the Twitter feed, or if you don't want to actually follow it, then just keep checking the stickied thread at the top of the forums.
In the future, I would recommend using the search function to see if the question you're looking to have answered has already been asked. People don't like redundant topics, and that's why you're seeing the flames.

The only reason people react that way is because in the last 2 weeks, this is probably the 1,000,000 time this has been asked and brought up. That's probably not an exaggeration either.
Dumb thread. This has been stated multiple times...
This will probably be the only time I agree with you. Who knows, 1.8 is a big update. I wouldn't be surprised if they took more than 10 days. Also, 4J can't release the update immediately after cert testing, they have to plan a release date.
Correct me if i'm wrong,
Thanks

It will get here when it gets here, Veruca.
