I think that these would be fun to have spawn in your map. If you do not know what these are, they are tunnels the japanese made in WWII inside islands they controlled during that time period. They are extremely huge and confusing. To incorporate the minecraft style they could have chest with rare items. They would also only be 2 tall and 1 wide. They would mainly be there to have fun.

These don't sound much different than underground tunnels, which kinda already spawn. Other than having a size limit (which would make moving in them a pain, and not really enjoyable) They sound like something that would be fun to build, however.
I would vote no.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!
I think these would be interesting, but since they have something similar coming in the next update i at the moment can't say it much appealing since mineshafts are going to be confusing enough with the way they more likely will be. If you have ever seen one on the pc version then you know what i am talking about.
Also someone mentioned and showed a flat linear pic i believe overhead view of how it looks like swiss cheese. O_o
I am going to enjoy that when it finally comes to play...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I have to dis-agree I'd love this in normal MC if its a seperate option to have them spawn in your world than dungeons and other structures but you should post this here also: http://www.minecraft...i#entry18492730
It's a shame nobody has replied to that thread in a while. Genki you should post links and reccomend it to other people too and hopefully more people will notice...

"The struggle of survival is a war without end, and war – war never changes." -Ron Perlman in Fallout.
They are called Malinta Tunnels, the only connection these tunnels had to suicide were when the japanese decided to kill themselves via explosives when they were trapped in the tunnels by the americans as opposed to being captured or killed. It had nothing to do with martyrdom or anything like that. I'm pretty sure these desperate peoples families didnt think it was 'awesome'
Don't take this the wrong way but its war and suicide tunnel sounds awsome so its the name I want.

They were also considered suicide tunnels because other people that ventured into them usually never found their way back out and starved to death, or had to find some way to kill themselves.

I can't help but wonder if everybody is confusing a few different things here.
The (singular) Malinta Tunnel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malinta_Tunnel) was essentially a large underground bunker/tunnel network built by the US in the Phillipines. It was taken by the Japanese at one point, and when the US were re-taking it, Japanese soldiers inside the bunker used explosives, killing themselves in the process. The Malinta Tunnel is a fairly straightforward set of tunnels and is not particularly difficult to navigate. I don't think this is what the OP is referring to, although the "suicide" aspect of it seems to relate, however isn't entirely correct, and as others have pointed out, is quite disrespectful to the US and Japanese soldiers who lost their lives during WWII.
What I think the OP is actually thinking of is the tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. These are called the "Cu Chi tunnels" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cu_Chi_tunnels). These are very narrow and mazelike, and had a bad reputation with the US army, and probably the Viet Cong given the living conditions.
Don't call them suicide tunnels. If you're thinking of the Vietnamese ones, then don't call them Japanese either. Good luck with your feature request.

they don't have traps, are bigger than 1X2, are fully underground, etc.
Why, they were called that to make people think going in one was suicide thats awsome.

Why, you know what forget it why are we talking about suicide on a MC forum? lets just go back to talking about the spawning structure.
I would love this and I think it would feel awsome to discover while walking around in Minecraft.
