One of the biggest new features being added in the new update is the terrain is getting a makeover and they are adding several new naturally generated structures. I think strongholds, mineshafts and villages. I'm excited for these features. So excited that I might have to start a brand new world to get all the new features. And since I'll probably never play my old world again, I'll probably delete it. Have the same opinion as me?

OR... You can switch your old world to creative mode, than make a new world in survival or whatever. I'm actually gonna make a superflat world on creative. I'm also not gonna abandon my old worlds. I'll probably just finish some projects I haven't finished(like my mega mansion).
Since I really don't have a world that I have been playing with since the release its going to be really simple for me to give up any world or any buildings that I have built since the release. When I smartphones ablentonuee creative thats when I'll be able to make the world that I want to make, so until then I am just letting minecraft sitnloney on my Xbox while attend to some otherwise more important things, like my life
This poll is confusing. Does he want to know if we are going to DELETE our old worlds, or just START A NEW ONE. Those are two different options. Therefore, maybe.
I'm going to start a new one, but not delete any of my old ones.
I couldn't possibly dream of deleting my worlds. I've put way too much time into them to just delete them. however, I will start a new world to get all these new features and such, but other than that, not happening.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!
Yes everytime there is a big update I redo my worlds. Thats part of the fun of the updates. With creative mode it wont be so bad to build what you had. I always explore the hole map to find the areas I want to build on. Otherwise I might not have the perfect place for each building. I never play with anyone that way my worlds stay the way I want them. With creative mode out I can replace what ever other ppl might use that I was planning to use to build with. I just hope the upside down stairs gets here fast enough.
I've already deleted several of my old worlds; but I don't see an option for that. My different "survival" ones don't tend to last very long. While they exist, I'm not really focused on building, but more on just having a basic base and surviving creeper explosions and such. My friends and I then tend to play the game for a bit and then delete whatever world we've been playing in whenever we decide to quit that session.
I do have one main building-type world. I'll probably just continue to finish my building plans in that one using the blocks I already have in it. If I really want melons (for example), I'll have no qualms about putting that world into creative mode to introduce them. After my current building plans are all finished, I'll probably just keep it saved on my HD... and maybe go into it from time to time to wander around, play on some of the parkour stuff and gawk at some of the buildings I made (kind of like an old photo album).
I will also start a new main build world with newly generated terrain.. I'm a better building than I was a couple of months ago and am looking forward to building a new world up from scratch... even better than I did the first time round.
i currently have several worlds started and just saved for my terrain generation experiment. Once I obtain the results, I will probably just delete all of them, unless the combination of new and old terrain, by chance, results in something extra special. Since they will be a combination of old and new terrain, each one of them will be unique and I won't be able to regenerate any of them exactly the same way again. If one does turn out something special, I might just turn one of those into a new main build world.
yeah i prolly will make a new world, however i would still be keeping my old ones. That and the ones i prepared for this upcoming update. I don't want all that exploring to mean nothing, or well partial exploration. Reason i have so many maps to see which i like most after the update.
On another note for the ones i completely explored, being 1 of 2 i think worlds I still will keep and continue to build with what is there and well, essentially add onto it. If not add then modify or improve upon it with all the new options that open up for me, excluding creative. I have plans to play around with creative a bit but not on either of the flatland modes since that doesn't get me inspired to build, for the fact i build with or around the terrain. So it is the terrain that give me inspiration to build. I don't build modern, as if I want to do that i would find work in a construction company or something, or go sight seeing in our cities... ><
Either way i will continue to build...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I'm making a new world. that doesn't mean I'm deleting my old ones.
Where did people get this idea that you for some reason have to stop playing your old worlds cold turkey style? They aren't going anywhere and they'll get all of the new features except the terrain generation (if they're fully explored).
I want a river map to build my project around, I had it on ICBA because of the massive valleys in that seed but building a river system on it is hell! 400 buckets of water later and its still incompleat! I know creative mode would greatly help with this problem but i would much rather build a massive valley them a massive river system. The dynamics of water in minecraft never seem to do what I want them to do T_T
The title of this thread is extremely different from the poll. Responding to the title, why would I delete my world when I could just make a new one and keep both? To the poll, yes, I will inevitably make a new world.
I'm gonna make a lot of new worlds. No way In hell am I getting rid of my old world. It was the very first world I ever created and I've worked at least 150+ hours on it. Only way I'd ever delete it is if it got corrupted.
I'm not going to delete my world that my friends and I worked hard on for the past months but we will be starting a new one for the new terrain features!
