This all took place back in May, right after the game came out. I had my small, horrible house that I was proud of making after just starting Minecraft (I now have all 3 versions and am making some nice builds.) I invited my friend onto my server to see it. We went down in the mine, and he went running ahead of me as I was leaving. When I come back up, (about a minute after him) my house is burning to the ground. I instantly kicked him from my game, and went back to an older save file. I NEVER use autosave, I'm not that dumb.
The main question here is should I invite him back? He said it wasn't him, but nobody else was in my game. When I make a 1.8.2 world, I'd like to have friends playing. He would enjoy being included in my game, but I don't know. I need some other opinions please.
If you have to ask here, I guess you still have feelings for your friend. Depends on how much your structures mean to you compared to you having the person as a friend.
Its minecraft not real life. I understand stuff like that but dont let an xbox ruin your friendships. Then again if just a friend not a good friend then its different.
If he's still on your friends list, then yeah, give him another chance. Just let him know that you'll be watching, and if it really wasnt him (Maybe a friend or relative grabbed the controller while he was away? How does he explain it?), then he should have nothing to worry about. If he does it again, knowing how you feel, maybe he isn't worth having on your friends list at all.

Yeah, if its someone you actually know in real life then its more complex, as stated here. If thats the case, have a good face to face chat about it.
I would probably be tempted to invite him back first into a newly created world where you haven't already got things built up. That way, the two of you can build up that world together and you'll both have stuff built in it that you won't want to see destroyed by either one of you. If the two of you get along well while building up that world together, you might then consider inviting your friend back into your other established worlds. If he then resorts to griefing a second time, you'll know for sure that you should never invite him back into a world he hasn't helped to build.

The other AWOL was given many chances but never stopped greifing. It didn't matter if he helped or not. He even greifed his own maps just to **** people off who had spent time on his map. He also got mad all the time if you barely did something he did not like. After everyone he normally plays with deleted him its fun to watch him cry like a wanting to play with you. Oh and if you ever play with him don't believe anything he says. He lied about all his supposed friends to other "friends" to make himself feel powerful. He is the worst type of person in this world. He also took credit for what other people did. I hope he dies. That's right, that he is so bad you can sense this just talking to him on xbox. He is also racist. Just throwing that in there.
