Yes. Once the 1.8.2 update is out, just go into the crating table and somewhere in there, most likely under food, you will be able to craft seeds from the pumpkin.
WooHoo! I found only 4 pumpkins on my map and have been saving them for months hoping i would eventually be able to get seeds from them or replant them. I knew they were adding them(seeds), but figured they would only come from harvesting fresh pumpkins.

Me too, I onloy have a few and I have been holding on to them for a long long time.
