I don't know why but the thread title made me think the update was out. Like if it was saying, "It's finally out! Why did it take this long?" I rushed over to the Xbox only to be disappointed

Where did you get Thursday from..? The ten day limit will take us to Tuesday.
It has only been nine days. Since weekends don't count, it has technically only been seven.
They gave it to MS on Tuesday. Thursday it was put into MS Cert Testing. Ms Cert testing takes 10 business days. Thursday was the 4th. 10 business days will lead us to next Thursday, the 18th.
I think the main thing, at least in my opinion, was that it was such a huge update. I mean its like an expansion pack. I think the one that I believe is called 1.0.0 will also be quite large since there is so much being added. I think thats the one with Snow Golems which I really think will be cool. I dont know what is inbetween them though I think one deals with sound changes?

Next Thursday would be 11 business days, unless they counted Columbus day as a holiday day. So either next Wednesday or Thursday

You might have a serious Minecraft addiction if...you're complaining about how long it's taking on the forums. Seriously Minecraft fanboys need to chill out we're all eagerly awaiting and checking back periodically for the update. So in the meantime just go read a book or something to keep yourself occupied. Complaining about things doesn't make them come any quicker even if you make up fake reasons for the delay.
Let's just say it took them till October to get it done and they sent it to Microsoft and we all waited patiently for it to come out.
