I play on hard legitally without dupes or anything and I have a problem. I was ranked like 13,000 on hard legitally and for some reason when i played split screen with my bro and now i get on today im ranked like 578,000 HELP!!! I've worked hard for all my traveling etc etc and would like it resolvedhe was using another account from family account so it wasnt my name
Or just got passed? With 4 million copies of this game sold worldwide, perhaps 565,000 people played harder on hard last night than you did? (lol) The leaderboards are pretty meanlingless overall. One mob XP-style grinder can skew the kill stats ridiculously in just a few minutes. Duping isn't the only way to skew the mining stats since it doesn't differentiate where blocks are being mined. I did a test and kept placing and mining the same block of dirt inside my house on hard (no risk)... and the leaderboards counted every single one of them as a legitimately mined block on hard. Similarly, I could increase the travelling simply by running and jumping around my house in circles. Also, the leaderboards do top out at a certain number of block mined and reset back to 0.
IMO, the only leaderboard stat that should be kept is duration survived in Hardcore mode (whenever that mode becomes available).
Happened to me as well, really made me angry at first. I don't care about placement in relation to others at all, I just love see stats of what I have done. After the 5th time it reset I got over it, and that was a few resets ago. Actually have maxed stone mining again so it should be resetting again any time now...
My peaceful stats were reset as well... Some people have argued the importance of leader board stats... I have an epic legitimate xbox minecraft build and was ranked 299 and 2,000 for traveling and mining block peaceful respectively (1,400 of mined obsidian (imagine how long that took lol)... On hard my stats are still holding at 2,748 and 5,529 (1,235 kills hard)...
I use to leader board to find people with just as legitimate epic worlds... By looking for the same ratio of stats...
If anyone needs their stats reset, it is the cheaters on top who have max mining stats, and no traveling, or max kills and no mining blocks...
Now no one will look for my map and it upsets me because I have litterly played this since the day it came out...
I contacted Xbox Live and they said that this was the offical place to have the concerns resolved...

Please help! If the reliability of the leaderboard is in question, then what is the point of building legitimately if those stats are just reset whenever the Xbox feels like it...
I love this game, but there are so many issues that seem to be more complicated as I go along (inventory and spawn point erased when world is loaded, random freezes, graphics and shading issues)... I can deal with the small annoyances, but the big ones are causing questions about the QC of an extremely popular game which I'm sure some 4j executives have gone on some nice vacations from the profits...
I've noticed that playing split-screen severely messes up your leaderboard statistics. But then again, the leaderboards for MC360 are a joke, anyway. Why do you really need them? They're just an exercise in uselessness.
