I've heard over and over again Microsoft Cert Testing only takes 4-10 days.
Well, it's been over 10 days.
Just wondering if anybody can answer this question:
What is the MAX about of time before we see the 1.8 update?
I do not see how you folks can ask the same damn questions over and over. Use the damn search function and stop wasting 5 minutes of everyone lives with these posts.
We all know the update is taking forever, do not remind us anymore then we have to remind ourselves.
I agree, the update will be here eventually. We have to continue being patient. However.. I did do some research and found some information on the MC360 wiki:
The update in July that introduced pistons was in cert testing for 10 days (Including weekends.)
July 3rd -> July 13th ..
What I'm trying to iterate is that it wouldn't surprise me if the update launched tomorrow.
October 2nd -> October 12th
I have noticed that a lot of people cant seem to do basic math. A few days ago people said it had been in 10 days and they knew it went in on Oct 2. Well according to what I see today is the 11th of Oct which is 9 days after they sent it in and thats today not 2 days ago and if you count the day of its just now 10 days today. There are some crazy people on this site, but at least its entertaining.

And peoples lack of understanding that Microsoft doesn't work on weekends is amazing. Microsoft doesn't do anything on weekends. So they sent it to Cert Test on the 2nd.. So lets do the math...

Oct 4th - 2 Days
Oct 5th - 3 Days
Oct 6/7th - Weekend - MICROSOFT DOESN'T WORK WEEKENDS
Oct 8th - 4 Days
Oct 9th - 5 Days
Oct 10th - 6 Days
Oct 11th - 7 Days
And Cert Testing can take 10 - 14 days if there are no bugs found that need to be fix'd before the patch goes live.
Just think...it's going to get 100 times worse when the patch is released and people don't get it right away

I think its great this update and all its content is coming out, but dammit ive been working really hard on my world, which BTW is looking sweet. I don't know how i feel about having to start anew.

Keep the old one man, as a memorial to before 1.8.2
I wont be deleting my current survival world, just taking an extended break from it and putting it on the back burner.

Right? I am so happy after the clay patch I decided not to explore anything until a patch that really excited me came out.

Be patient, it will arrive before you know it and then we will all be awaiting the next update. enchantments will be EPIC!
But yeah, it can take up to 2 weeks if nothing is found wrong... If a bug or something is found. Well expect it to be a lot longer..

Most likely (I think this is how they did it with 1.7.2 or w/e the last patch number was) they only said something when it was on the xbox servers.
