is there a way i can get the coords i want for my spawn? Im trying to go to an are that i know where dungeons are and i wNt that map. I just wanna know if i can type in certan numbers letters that equal north s e w sapwn.
Umm.. I understood about 5% of that post. If you're asking whether or not you can choose your spawn location, no you can't. As for something to do with typing coordinates in a map... no, you can't do that either.
I'm not sure what you're trying to get at here, but I'll try to cover all the facets that I can think of.
No, you can't set the spawn point, but this suggestion has a lot of support. No, you can't type in coordinates on your map. No, you cannot set coordinates for fast traveling. No, you cannot change the center of your map.
After reading the above post, here's a more direct answer: No, you cannot change your spawn location.
Rephrase* if i make a new map is there anyway to make my spawn location as close to the area i want as possible i know name changes the starting point but are there characters/ numbers that can make this easier?
Your initial spawn point is picked by the system related to the seed; but there is no way to designate a spawn point within the seed string. It will fall within the same general area for all players first entering the world; but it won't likely be exactly the same block every time. You can change your initial spawn point to the center of the map by creating the world, spawning at the first spawn, and then exiting the world without saving. Then re-enter the world and you should spawn at the center of the map. However, I believe a new player will still first spawn at the first spawn point. Making a new map has no effect on spawn point.
If you're not talking about the initial spawn point, you can, of course, set any respawn point by sleeping in a bed and leaving that bed set up.
Ive been testing my seed by starting anew world and ive changed the "initial spawn a few times but okay thanks if no one knows what coord a/b would be then thanks anyway
Has anybody ever tried filling the spawn area with blocks all the way to sky limit? I'm wondering if that could move spawn. Not that I want to relocate it myself, just curious is all...
From my experience in Minecraft, you would most likely spawn inside the blocks and die.

I was actually talking to someone about this awhile back. I'm guessing you would spawn underground in a cave or air pocket, whatever happens to be the highest. If you fill literally everything up... well, that could be interesting. I'm guessing you would spawn around it somewhere, or on top.
In fact... yeah, you probably would never spawn in a cave. You would most likely just spawn on top of the world. Went through all of that thought for nothing....

Isn't it possible you could just spawn on top though? I mean, I know there's no physical invisible ceiling at the top of the world. And I'm sure void counts as a transparent block. That makes the most sense to me.

I've had it happen on a PC server once. I spawned into blocks and died.
