Ever since I have known about the new update (which has only been for two weeks) and how close it is to being released I have found it very tough to start any new projects to build. In the back of my mind I know that it will be for not as with creative mood it will take half the time to build. Also with the new update I can not wait to explore the new areas and find all the mines, towns, swamp lands and to come up with new and interesting things to build in each. Is anyone else having this type of creative stall towards the game in just waiting for the 1.8.2>?
Im almost done with a project. Im in the opposite situation of trying to finish before the update (its an adventure type map and im makng a better one as soon as 1.8.2 hits)

I am creatively stalled to some degree at the moment, but not due to the upcoming update. My inspiration comes and goes. So i just do what i can if not do something else in the meantime till i get an idea or notion of what i want to do in my worlds.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Not at all - I have at least a half a dozen projects that I'm working on. Just spent last night refining my mob shooting gallery to prevent untoward spawns and mob jail breaks. I don't know if I'll get on tonight, the next time I do it'll be back to the nether to work on my anti-Rella's castle.
The toughest thing I have waiting for this next 1.8.2 update is that I don't even want to work on anything with the PC or the 360 till this next update. I can't wait to start my mobspowning traps with out the fear of death from falling...

It's really hard for me at the moment. I can barely sleep and I'm checking Twitter by the hour!
It feels silly, considering I own Minecraft on PC. But I actually enjoy it more on Xbox, and I can't wait to use creative mode to make an awesome PvP server and then host it in Survival!
Im not really waiting for creative but I cant wait for the other stuff. Creative is for the people who like to get things fast. I love exploring, getting lost in caverns and finding my way out again. Ive been sooo wanting a new map but have held off since it will only be a few weeks, days before the new one is ready. I have gone back to my friends world and built new things there while I wait.

Yeah, my daughter and I decided to start the "tutorial" world since neither of us have tried it yet! We figured we would since the tutorial will have changes with the update. Its working out awesome and definitely something to do till 1.8.2!
Creative is for the people who like to get things fast.
Not true... Creative just allows you to build instead of taking days and maybe weeks to complete a project by gathering resources. I find both options very useful and fun as when I get tired of one mode I switch over to the other and it keeps the game different.

I haven't bothered playing much for the past month. I've been playing it on the PC though. I plan on starting new worlds after the update so there is no reason for me to put time into anything else. Plus I just started playing Skyrim about a month ago.
creative route* That's why it's called "Creative mode". Wandering around in caves, battling mobs, and digging a hole in the wall is fun to some people, more power to 'em. It's just tedious and boring to me. After 1.8.2 is released, I'll probably never even touch survival mode again. Except for the occasional hunger games or spleef match a friend may be hosting. But, as far as actually collecting things and living like some kind of dwarf, I think I'll pass.

Actually I'm waiting for the update before I start playing Minecraft again.
Borderlands 2 for me, new character was just released. Would rather have Minecraft though..
