I was being totally careless and got lost in a cave with a ton of gold and diamond so I had to kill my self or grow trees underground I am now living in a cave
My friend and I saw one of those weird floating sand things. It was covering some surface lava. I warned him of lava but he didnt listen so he punched the sand and he sank into lava. I was cracking up, he lost half of his supplies and ores.

Had a bunch of chests filled with valuable stuff, decided to make a TNT cannon, went to go in said chests and placed the TNT next to them. This was back when punching it would ignite. So I tried to encase it in obsidian to contain the blast but it didn't work
made quite a big tnt cannon out ob obsidian (for resistance) but got it totally wrong and had to spend 1 hour picking the obsidian back up... to then find out i just had to remove ONE block i put for mistake.
Trying to mine on the other side of the map from my bed/home, then attempting to make it back with all the loot. When you don't have many torches around and in the near begining, never try and mine far from home at night time...><
Lost most of the valuable goodies since it took me too long to keep gather die gather die... too many zombies/creepers and skeles...><
Too bad i don't have that map anymore... oh well...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
When I tried making bunk beds.
Got in the top bunk, started dieing. Jumped out, was stuck and still dieing.
Died.
Spawned.. was stuck and still dieing.
Died.
Spawned..
I hate bunk beds.
Also you should probably change the title to Your Minecraft Fails.
Deciding to illuminate my man made forrest using lit netherrack.
After a rather large forrest fire and about 30 - 40 mins of chopping trees down to stop the blaze from spredding I decidied to use some of my glowstone...
I don't really have bad luck in minecraft. My buddy, though, holy crap! We have a few worlds we play together. First time we explored the nether together, he harvested about half of the glowstone in it and then managed to fall into lava. We had been tunnel mining before that too...so he lost probably 80-100 blocks of glowstone, (equivalent in dust, of course), 40 iron, 25 gold, a minecart, and some diamond. Now, that sucked. Hard. Just sunday he was holding most of our good materials in the new world we started. Not as much as the first time...thank the lord. But this time he was just digging sand up on a beach for glass. Nothing looked amiss about the beach. Suddenly, BAM, whole beach falls in and he gets wasted in a hidden lava chamber. I looked over at him, (we were split screened) and I said, "Dude, seriously? How is it even possible you manage to die in ALL THE LAVAZ?!!?"
I've thought hard about using him as a lava dowsing rod.
Letting my friend try and make a fireplace in my wooden building... Learned a valuable lesson that day...if you know someone is retarded don't let them play with fire when 99% of ur stuff is made out of wood >_>

My biggest fail was when I was in a lave heavy area. I had one diamond and one dirt block and my inventory was nearly full so I decided to toss the dirt block.
Once I was out exploring in my world. It was night time and I stumbled across a zombie. I went up to it and started to attack it.I tried to 180 it,and it got lucky to kill me.I
was able to recover my items fortunately. This was on Normal difficulty.

My wooden land became fire land.

Ever think of digging... UP perhaps?
So I tossed out the one diamond. Into lava.
