I see on a lot of YouTube videos that when people go into the crafting table, the highlighted group sometimes displays three items instead of one. One of my friends said it has to do with HDTV, but I have an HDTV, and I have never seen that in my game. How does one activate that?
Yes, that's it. So I'm guessing that the HDMI cable isn't the HD cable that came with the X-Box? (Acus I always have my X-Box on HD when I play in the living room.)
The slim has HDMI, the 360, I think only has HD.... I'll have to look later and see if that is what is happening. I have two 360's and one slim... I thought this was normal.

You can use a HDMI cable or a HD component cable (I think that's what it's called). Also, you have to change your display settings on your Xbox 360 to either 1080i or 1080p (HD settings).
A HD component cable may or may not have come with your Xbox 360. My friend received one with his, but I did not so I had to buy one. To my knowledge, no HDMI cables come with any Xbox 360. EDIT: Apparently the slim Xbox 360 comes with a HDMI cable. Thanks KornFlake. EDIT 2: The slim Xbox 360 apparently doesn't come with a HDMI cable, but it had the HDMI jack in the back. I had some trouble with this too because I have an HDTV and couldn't figure out why my games weren't in HD.

Just to clarify, you when you buy the slim you don't get a HDMI cable, I had to buy one but the slim has the HDMI jack in the back.
I have heard of some "adaptors" for the RCA/HD (The one that comes with the 360 and slim) to HDMI Jack. I never purchased one but it might be worth looking into to. Even with the HD/ RCA there's a huge difference when you can use an HDMI cable.
