Can the Xbox even handle Tekkit and other big mods? It can't even handle infinite maps. How do you think it's possible it can handle Tekkit?
(Sorry about the small rant. To be honest, TEKKIT SUCKS. It's horrible and it completely changes Minecraft. Also, people keep saying tekkit. What about other mods? Tekkit is old. Guy's, I'm sorry to say this, but TEKKIT WILL NEVER BE IN MCXB. THAT"S FINAL! EVEN 4J SAID IT!)
Wow, that was quite a big rant.
This made my day.
So... a group of some of the most complex and well-developed mods ever created sucks, because an eleven year old kid doesn't like it?
Xbox has many games with incredible graphics. Until you explain how it it wont be able to handle lighting effects( which I wont believe if you spout the same c**p about ram) then I will continue to think this would be the best choice of mod for the xbox.
So many xbox games have absolutly incredible graphics, why can't the xbox handle this then?
Just joking dude. I’m probably the most technical UN-savvy person here.
I'm not too familiar with tekkit, but I have a basic idea of what it is.
If the Xbox 360 could handle it, I wouldn't mind if it was added. Personally, I wouldn't use it because I think that it would make Minecrat far too complicated in an unnecessary way. If a large amount of players have demand for it, why not let them have it? They can have fun with it while I play classic Minecraft the way it's meant to be.
Again, this is if the Xbox 360 could handle it. So my opinion is: why not?

Kay.
The point of this thread is not that Tekkit sucks, but even the creator of that didn't want to do the hundreds of hours of work making the mods. All he did was put the designers in the credits and made a profit. Because the Xbox 360 console works on a different coding language, 4J Studios cannot replicate this get-rich quick scheme.

If they really wanted to they could. You can do the same things in C++ that you can with Java. The same is true for most high-level programming languages. I doubt the Xbox could handle most Tekkit features, and I don't really want them anyway. I'm just saying, "This is bad, because I don't like it" is a poor argument. It's like watching self-proclaimed critics on YouTube, some of them are so obviously biased it's unreal. That's the number one rule of critiquing, put your biased beliefs aside when you judge something.
OP: Like I said, I don't really care for Tekkit as a whole. But, I think having pipes and block breakers would be amazing.
Anti-Tekkit is like anti-complex creativity. If you want to keep the game simple, then you probably don't want tekkit. If you can understand the complexities of tekkit and what kind of different doors it would open for a game such as this, you'd love to have it. Tekkit is like the industrial revolution of minecraft. For the people that delve in the complexities of the game and create things like simplified in-game computers or people that make insane piston systems, I'm sure would love to have this as a mod on the xbox. Some people are limited by the simple mechanics of the current version of the game with pistons and redstone. Adding a mod (dlc) similar to tekkit isn't impossible... I hope they take the game in that direction after 1.2.3
No need to get all butt hurt everybody, what I'm trying to say is that too many kids who
love MC360 watch Yogscast play Tekkit and go "Oh, this looks fun, I want it on XBOX!".
It's not like that, it's pointless to add Tekkit if it's so complex that there's only a certain
amount of people who understand it in it's entirety. And seriously, enough with the
"omg, this thread is so pointless" crap. I'm just expressing how I feel about this whole
Tekkit crap. I'm pretty sure that is what this forum is meant for.

Because skyrim doesn't suddenly have to render an undergroud enviornment if you decide to pull out your shovel and dig down
