Can anyone tell me why my chickens die or really disaper in their farm. I'm doing the two story water methed.

Use the search function. Animals will despawn until the next update.

I think the gentleman above me means "Animals won't despawn in the next update" But they wont spawn either they will generate with the world as it's first created. But currently they despawn when you are not near them.
