Okay, so I'm fairly new to MCXB, and MC in general. But I have had some stuff happen and I know not why, so instead of making a bunch of threads here they are....
1- Okay, built my first nether portal in the my town. Went into it with a buddy (who has played MC/MCXB a lot) and he wanted to show me something so we started digging through the nether. we dug for a bit then he said "this is crazy, we should've popped out by now!" "You know what, I'll build another Nether portal here and it will "pop" us back in to the town!" So he did. But the newly built Nether portal did not "pop" us back into town. It "popped" us on t he opposite side of the world from the town inside a huge cave! so we built another Nether portal and that "popped" us back to the Nether portal in the town. Well everyone we built since, to see if that would happen again (send us to the other side of the map) sends back to the Nether portal in town. Why is that?
2- I have lots of snow on my world, I built a house. wood and cobble stone floors and a roof. On the first floor I get snow on t he wood showing up that I have to shovel away about every other day that I log in. is this part of the game?
3- I have a room in one of my mines, There's only one door, which I keep closed. But I have every other day I have a chicken show up in that room. I kill it, it shows back up.
4- I also hear about updates, will the next update allow me to put a sandstone slab on top of a cobble stone slab or stone slab?
1) Please restate... Confused
2)Yes, you can put torches so the snow won't appear there
3) Grass in that room? Passive mobs can spawn on grass
4) I believe you can already do this, if not, it is a bug

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. 1. As you travel in Nether you are travelling in the Overworld. If there isn't a portal nearby it'll make a new one.
2. Yes snowing is part of the game.
3. Do you have grass down there?
4. Pretty sure you can't do this.
1. when you move around in the nether your location on the overworld map is also changing. I believe that the ratio is 1:3 in the xbox version, which means for every 1 block you move in the nether you move 3 blocks in the overworld map.
2. Not sure about this one since i've never build in snow biomes.

Thanks, that explains it... I might build another farther away, it's as easier way to get around an not build a crazy mine cart system.
