Im trying to figure out what I wanna build... can someone suggest something cool like etho's (a guy from youtube) base?
just suggest something, dont tell me how to build that and stuff, just a cool idea for base cause im out of ideas
Could be an underwater base, just be sure to make enough ladders for it. Also why not just look up Forts, castles, and the like on google or something to find more inspiration.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
On my survival world, I have situated my home base on a small sized island. I plan to build all the extra buildings, farm houses and such right along side my island setup and expand the island.
Another idea, find some of those damn giant overhangs or land bridges connecting mountains, build underneath that. I will warn, if you do not light the area around it up then you will hear mobs for days on end.
Sorry, one more idea I have had for myself. What you can do is find a floating block or set it yourself and build a Sky city. I want to try this once I get situated and have enough resources on my survival world.
Then build a rocket that goes to the moon and fire your deadly "laser".
Obviously, you only fire the "laser" if the world doesn't pay one hundred billion dollars. Will you get help from Alan Parsons, making this "The Alan Parsons Project"? And will the moon base be called the "Death Star"?

Write down the coordinates of the entrance and make an above ground house so it's location won't be revealed.
If it's an above ground fortress. You're going to have to flatten a lot of land.
When I do above ground forts, I tend to build into hills and have tunnels with buildings on the outside like Mt. Suribachi.
Point is: you don't necessarily need to flatten land.
