Because the xbox version isnt near as advanced as the computer. I have had skeletons how ever drop feathers(not skeletons, zombies). Just sit back and relax it will happen adventually
When Minecraft first came out, each animal had a specific purpose.
Chickens gave Eggs.
Cows gave leather and milk.
Pigs gave food.
Sheep gave wool.
Zombies dropped feathers.
The later updates (the adventure update) made it so all animals, minus the sheep, dropped food upon being killed. Feathers were taken from Zombies and given to chicken along with chicken actually dropping meat.
Zombies also now will drop Zombie Flesh, which can be eaten for some food, but there is a chance that it will make you sick, where it causes your hunger bar to deplete faster. I believe you can cure this with drinking milk.
Zombie flesh isn't really an ideal food, but it is a great food for those who have dogs. Dogs will eat the Zombie flesh with no ill effect on them. So no more deciding if you shall eat, or your dog!
Sheep were added so that you were needing to sheer them in order for wool to drop off of them. This has already been added to the Xbox version.
Cows will also drop steak with the future update.
A neat trick to learn is that if you kill the animal with fire, your food will already be cooked and ready to eat.
fish dont get you that much health plus it is sometimes hard to fish when you are in the middle of a jungle
Make an infinite water source in the jungle, problem solved. You can fish in any body of still water.
