I don't have Kinect, and frankly don't really care if they add Kinect controls. I am only asking because I like to stay informed. (See: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1338946-official-minecraft-xbla-twitter-feed-new-screenshots-and-video-from-182-last-updated-9262012/)

When Minecraft XBLA was announced they claimed Kinect functions would be a part of it.

Would any of you even want that? I personally would rather them focus on actual additions after 1.8.2. (Theme packs and other updates.)

The Kinect's technology just isn't here yet really, From everything I've seen and all the times I've played on a kinect at a friends house or whatever, if you don't have completely ideal conditions and then some, it's just a joke and a gag. Why waste their time implementing Kinect controls that would be stupid to have anyways, when they could be... Perhaps Implementing new environmental sounds or something into Minecraft? Ehh? eh?

Ya I don't think they gave up on the kinect but I think after 1.2.3 they will start adding their own things. And ya I'd rather have more minecraft features rather than a kinect functionality...

Can't say for sure. Honestly they have enough work to do right now . If they were making kinect compatable for minecraft it would just take up time they could be useing to get newer versions of the game going.

I would care less if it was there or not I don't even have kinect lol.

In my opinion, Integrating Kinect with MCX360 Is the least of their worries.

Let's save Kinect for the casual and lag-insensitive crowds. Please.

At the moment, I don't really see any point for adding Kinect in the first place.

If so, one idea I can think of now, would be using Kinect for sorting purposes. Like the system they have set up for Skyrim, using your voice to look through items and stuff. Voice recongnition in equiping items without resorting to using the cursor so much. Even use Kinect, when they add Creative mode, to automatically say what items you want on your hotbar and go from there???

not really fond of kinect really as the voice recognition thing is a bit faulty, as with any of those kind of devices. I am sometimes too quiet for that kind of sensor. As for the motions that is a bit different. Still would prefer not to have. If they do implement it at some point, I just hope they "only" make it "Optional"... I am getting tired of almost half the game market of quite a few games being only kinect, like fable for instance...*shakes head* I won't be playing the new addition to the series due to this fact. I prefer things being optional when it is something major like that rather than being forced to buy a separate item or console that comes with said item to even play that specific game that I would rather use a controller for in the first place...

*shrugs* either way, i know if it does end up being kinect only, i guess that would be PC version only for me then...:D lol

Kinect is a joke, PS move or whatever is a joke, the wii is a joke (but at least original). Motion gaming is a joke. Scrap it all and put the money towards something useful, like ensuring that the next gen consoles don't melt after an hour of use.

Nobody would, it would be a MASSIVE waste of time.

Because kinect is a joke. It is unresponsive and it is just boring to use. (My opinion)

Um, when did they say they were going to add kinect functionality right now? They said they would look into it in the future, the future being sometime that isn't now. I'm sure they'll get all the important stuff that makes Minecraft Minecraft before they focus on features like this.

If I want to jump for real, I'll go outside or to the gym and do it. When I'm in a virtual world, I want to use virtual motions.
