Since some nice fellow miners on here helped me get my pictures online, I thought I would make a thread to list what we have and show progress as it goes. There are some huge projects underway, and many things in the town are not 100%, so let's just call this a "build thread" of sorts! So far, a little about the town. It is almost as old as Minecraft 360 itself, and our only seed. My wife and I work on it together quite often, and my little brother stops by from time to time as well for an evening of mining and building. THIS TOWN IS 100% GLITCH AND MOD FREE, the closest to "cheating" we have is a 4-tower mob grinder that supports part of the town. Not really getting an advantage, just some gunpowder when we feel like letting it run long enough, and not a ton at that, either. We have so far:
*Started with a great seed, but now has gone through TONS of "terra-forming" to make the terrain perfect
*Mayor's house (the first building built), 2 floor cottage with attic and skylight windows on peaked roof
*THREE mine cart stations (A,B, and C)
*full-town mine track system and easy-paced monorail
* small-scale redstone lab (good for building and testing 5-clocks and simple piston circuits, etc)
* A bank with lobby, cashiers booth, and an underground double-thick obsidian vault, with 11 total lever combination lock
*fishing shack with heated pond (main part of city is in the Taiga biome
*archery range
*"Kush Towers" office building, peaks above cloud layer to add to the skyline
*Greek parthenon styled town hall/mayors court
*GIANT three-tree tall 50% GROWN natural tree house, three floors, peaks above cloud layer
*2-floor huge library with inside balcony, fireplace and open center courtyard
*Basketball court
*"Phils general supply store" storage shop
*Mine depot, made entirely out of "unusual" materials, and VERY unique
*Cobblestone factory
*Rally's style (drive thru only) fast-food restruant
*"Snap-Off Tool Company" Storage shop
*2 farms with fields capable of making more than I'll ever need
*7-hut "worker village"
*Public mines open to all near the "Poor side of town, farms etc"
*4-tower mob grinder supporting an art gallery, "living" rooftops and natural man-made (I know i know) hanging garders, one with internal cavern and natural waterfalls
To explain the giant hole off the back side of town, we are building a "showcase piece. A large underground rectangular cavern has been marked off on each corner above ground, and between the pillars a GIANT hole will be dug down to bedrock. In its place will be a massive and (hopefully) impressive redstone fueled castle to showcase our peak building and design skills, comlete with court yard full of small living-quarter huts made of all hand-mined "rare" materials, like diamond blocks, gold blocks, gold ore, moss stone, etc. Some pics I will be posting illustrate its enourmous size, and some show the large cavern that started it all, which doubles as a perfect accidental slime farm O_o
The town from the East end, from rooftop of "Station C"
Back side of the town, from the middle of where the castle will be going
The two from the West end, near Station B, show are bank, tree house, town hall, Kush Towers, and more
From next to the tree house, showing farms and workers hutsCart Station "A"Farms, village, public mine #1, etcFront skyline of the town from behind the cane/wheat farm and public mine building
hehe Happy to help. Sounds like you have some cool stuff going on in your world.
Might want to hide your pics behind some spoiler codes. Makes it easier for people with slow internet connections.
This is where the giant hole, followed by a castle will go. It will span entirely from post to post, and for now it DOES, but only 5 layers tall at 5 layers above bedrock!
A shot from the edge of the hole, looking at bottom
On the floor of the giant cavern, in the back corner, which is just as wide as the front, all that remains is the section in the middle!
Looking up the front from the bottom, cart house "A" hangs over the edge for now

Thanks but for now, they may have to suffer, I am not very good at using forums! It would take forever!TO ALL WHO ARE INTERESTED::: If anything piques your curiosity, or you would just like to see more, or something up close and in detail, say so! I will gladly post individual structures, there is just too much to this town to throw up images of everything!
Never thought to mention, but we are also open to suggestions! If you can think of that one thing that our town is missing, or could be different, feel free to suggest it!
This is cool. Our building styles are very similar ("realistic" vs "epic"). Would be happy to trade world tours so we can steal ideas from each other. My gamer tag is listed in my profile, and my world can be seen here (http://mcxphotos.com/gary.hughes.77920/eden).

Build a themepark! Also, can I visit you world? I don't have gold at the moment, but I know I'm getting it soon. My GT is DaIblisTrigger. I'll message you when I have freetime and gold, then I can check out your world and help you build the themepark.
Chur bro nice town.
One question though... Have those houses got dirt roofs?
And if you need anything elsein that town you could make a ye old blacksmith.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.

Yes they do! My wife built those, as well as the cactus farm. Being farmland it is the "poor" side of town, so we have simple "mud" and wood huts set up in a cookie-cutter type community, we call it the the "Elendsviertel", which is German for "slum" or "shanty town".
Thanks for all the ideas guys, we will be putting some of them on the list, but right now our focus is being turned 100% to completing this giant hole for the castle. I will be popping in and out until this evening when I will be on steady, but anyone that wants to join for a tour can hit me up on XBL at Tokin23 .
Thank you all as well for the compliments! Makes us on this end feel like the world is worth continuing, as this is its FIRST exposure to the public hehe
A forewarning to all, any greiving will not only warrant a ban from my Xbox stuff, but your GT will be reported here to the MC community

I wish I had the vision, patience and foresight to produce things like this.
Well done.

P.S. Love your style.
Sorry for the late reply, was at a tattoo convention all day. It has seriously only been me, her and my little brother when he swings by after work.
