See. They wanted us to get the stuff we needed by duping! They would have already patched it before if they cared. They didn't care if we duped. They probably duped when creating the Tutorial World.
i dont really think they wanted.. it might be more of they didn't feel like patching the latest 1 because it would have been stupid to fix 1 minor issue and make us update that soon after the first update.
No game developer wants you to abuse a glitch. Ever. It's one of the things game devs pride themselves on, making a glitch free game. They probably just didn't want to waste a bug fix update when they could just include all of the fixes in the 1.8.2 Title Update.
That doesn't mean they "wanted" people too dupe. They are the developers of MCX60, & as the developers, I highly doubt they "wanted" people to abuse a glitch. I'm sure they wanted the game to be played as it was intended to be played. Without dupping.
Really? You're pulling that logic? Isn't it more likely that they are only addressing the problem now because they are updating the game anyway and it's not like they can just put out a patch whenever they want? Microsoft certification is a ***** to go through and I'd say they just want to as few updates as possible to avoid all the hassle.
By the logic presented here you'd have to conclude that if a shop owner doesn't follow you around with a shotgun then he wants you steal all his stuff.
Hot fixes have nothing to do with cirt.Besides the fact that they did "fix" the dupe glitch before...way to go logic....not really sure where your shop owner scene fits into this conversation...unless the shop owner had a basket that sayed free fruit and let people take it.
Glitching is NOT hacking its not taken anything away from any one else. Its using what is at hand.
Edit: Just a side note most people feel some sort of lose/resent when some one gets something easier then they did.
The dark side of me though does wonder if they used the duping glitch to advantage when making the tut world (man power is limited, and costs money, less time, less money and all that) and would even go so far as to say did they program it in for their own benefit? It seems awfully convenient that now creative is coming out they not only acknowledge it, but also say they're fixing it. It's not as if they never knew about it before, it's one of the largest discussions here, and has been around for AGES.
Well, 4JSteve is the one who built the Tutorial World. I'm pretty sure that since they have the dev version of the game, they can spawn in anything they want at any time. He probably just gave himself infinite materials to build the world with.
Sounds pretty clear to me that they figured they might as well let people dupe in lieu of Creative mode until they were able to implement it. Pretty cool.

I agree. I think, though, that it wasn't fixed earlier because it was determined to be a relatively stable glitch and they were probably concentrating on finding and fixing the more irritating bugs - like the inventory glitch first. I really hope they do put out an absolutely glitch free update. They've been working very hard on it and deserve a break.
it would have been stupid if they fixed the glitch to soon because we did not have creative however the people in this forum are correct no dev wants a glitch to be abused even if it is ultimately for the good of the game

Anyway, I don't think they necessarily wanted us to abuse the glitch. But, at the same time, I'm confused as to why they didn't re-patch the dupe glitch with the latest bug fix. Try to wrap your head around that one, all you people with the "they don't want to use an update just to patch one thing" argument.
i tink 4j waited to fix the dupe bug so they could just fix it with the update like other bugs. Then again, they might have left it alone because they knew that with the new 1.8 update people will have to create new worlds. maybe they left it alone for so long because people were no longer going to use that world anyway after the release of 1.8. ..... but I hope they just waited until the update to fix it to avoid multiple updates because i don't want to make a new world.

After the first duping glitch fix, it subsequently created more glitches, or people just found more ways that already existed. I'm assuming all of the different duping methods have to be fixed individually, so they might not have been done fixing them all by the time they released the last bug fix patch.
I don't think that 4j, as a developer, wanted to have any type of glitch in their games. So, no, I don't think they "wanted" us to dupe. Still, it's YOUR game. Play it however you want to.

People in Halo abuse that glitch when you look like your holding a gun in campaign and Bungie is fine with it since it is put twice in a game. I wouldn't say "ever".
I find this argument ridiculous
I can't see what the fuss it about
Some people think the dupe glitch was left intentionally, others think they just left it for a another update
Some of us think it could be both.
Does this fighting need to go on its just pointless
They will fix it and then people MAY stop complaining

@4JStudios@nickosman1 Yes, now that Creative Mode is available in 1.8.2, we've fixed the duplication bugs.See. They wanted us to get the stuff we needed by duping!
