So i have a question, maybe ive just completely not been paying attention,but do eggs have any purpose besides hitting and cooking, someone told me there was babies but i think they where thinking about the PC version idk.
Also, how is it possible for animals to get out of a enclosed fence? Because it happend to me twice now. Thanks!

You can't keep animals locked up on the xbox
You use eggs to make cakes.
Far as that, thats all i know.
But you can throw them. But im pretty sure theres a reason for that.
One more thing on the animal subject, are there squid spawners? one of my fellow crafters mentioned he found one under water but i think hes wrong?...are there?

Actually no, u don't have to be in their range on the computer. They just lay eggs randomly, not on a time basis. You can get two eggs from one chicken in less than 5 min. And sometimes they don't lay any for 30 secs.
A note about egg laying: I have a castle up in the sky with grass on the floor, so I managed to have chickens spawn there. I just sat there for awhile doing homework with a friend and I got at least 30 eggs from 2-3 chickens within about 2 hours.
Unless its during the day. They never attack during the day unless being attacked by you.
Not quite so... they will become hostile/attack whenever the light level they are in is Level 9 or less. So, if you encounter one during the day under the shade of a big oak tree, you will be attacked. Then, once they've started attacking you, they don't stop just because they venture out into the sunlight.
So on the Xbox, do chickens really lay eggs every 5 to 10 ins? because when i had chickens, i got 1 egg.
They do lay eggs every 5-10 minutes but since the chickens despawn at the moment I don't think they stick around long enough to lay anymore eggs than 1 or 2.

Retired StaffYup. The closest thing to a squid spawner is a dispenser full of squid spawning eggs. You will have to wait for an update to make one though.
